Watch Goedert - after pushing Jaylon he immediately turned toward Wentz to look for a throw. He knew he was an eligible receiver.

But it wouldn't matter even if Goedert thought of himself as a blocker, because it wouldn't change the fact he was an eligible receiver, and had to be treated by the defense as such.

And as such, Jaylon could not hit him without it being a penalty. Any defender in that situation could be easily knocked down because they aren't able to deliver a hit, and because they aren't expecting an eligible receiver to go after them they aren't braced for an impact.
If Wentz runs 1 yard behind the LOS horizontally across the whole field and a WR throws a block, is it OPI?

Of course, pass interference requires the ball to be thrown to that guy, otherwise it would probably be called illegal contact rather than pass interference.

But if Wentz hadn't committed to running and was looking to throw the whole way, and a WR running a pass pattern knocks down a DB in coverage, then it is a penalty on the offense. If the QB had tucked the ball and committed to the run, or the WR was behind the line of scrimmage and blocking a guy trying to sack the QB, then no.

Too often fans attribute bad offense to good defense.
JC wilson was only able to make the play because there was no one open. Our D was finally able to cover people even with Wentz rolling out.

Some of you people must be really fun to party with.

Yep true. And it was a fumble because Wentz was terrible with his decision making.

Thank you for repeating the same thing that has already been said 500 times in this thread though.
