Not really. This just in - you don't know more than the scouts or coaching staff. Not trying to sound mean but your post is far off the mark. They took this kid in the 3rd for a reason.

it's common knowledge uncommonly known

Green was a reach a 5th or 6th round player, a bad choice in a great draft. You can't get em all right..

so two orientation days in camp from guys who haven't really been working out in probably six weeks and you've concluded he's a bad choice........so under your theory I guess Gregory is a bad choice, he had to leave the field too from dehydration......did you say the same thing when Dez was puking and dehydrated after his first two days as a rookie in orientation camp....

I can't really remember these young dudes getting sick like this in 80 degree weather, but relax everyone conditioning will take place.

One thing is they are not getting good advice from whoever trains/nutritionist advises them before their pro careers, probably even at Florida he was getting bad regiments.

I just think it's due to not being in practice shape. It's a lot different than the specialized training they've been doing for the combine and pro days. A lot of these guys haven't been through a practice since December.

Ahhhh, you think these guys would know better to be in decent shape at this point in their "careers". I know these guys are slotted to a certain extent with their rookie contracts. Does this or can this play a part with his contract negotiations?

Nobody is sitting at home eating Doritos. The combine and pro days have become events you dedicate months of training specifically for, and so they are in excellent performance mode in specific activities. If you put them through a combine today, they'd perform better today than they would in Novemver. If you look at football-shape, they'd be better in November than they are today.

salaries are all slotted now....you have to remember these guys played a full year of college ball, some are playing in bowl games, they have classes and exams to finish, they have specific training for the combine, they have pro days to prepare for, they have visits to NFL teams for personal workouts and interviews and NFL orientation meetings etc...they're pretty much on the go until the three month process is over and it's expected that they take a few weeks off prior to the draft or back off training to recuperate...and any training they do isn't exactly on the football training camp side...

Hey do you know more than CBS sports draft prospects ? Wait, before you say anything, Go look at site very respected and trusted. Think before you jump. Also Mel Kiper who is a draft expert and has forgotten more than you ever knew, said this was a 5th or 6th round talent.

No, I thought it was a bad choice when Mel Kiper said that it was, but hey I'm sure you know more than Kiper.

Unlike you, I don't make ridiculous snap decisions on a player after two days of orientation camp....so Mel Kiper has never been wrong..... This is the same Mel Kiper who said Ryan Leaf was better prospect than Peyton Manning..

You got to be kidding me...............our 3rd round pick cant make it through a single walk thru with no pads on and its in the freaking 80s outside.

How out of shape is the guy? Has he been sitting on the couch eating Doritos and binge watching Netflixs since December?

I'm typically not a negative person; but agree with this post Jeeeez Louise

Well I'm sure you have never been wrong, and know more than Kiper, and don't believe in free speech If someone does not agree with you, they are wrong.

Maybe he's been sick?

Not gonna worry about it this early.

"think before you jump" something you should have done before you labelled Chaz Green a bust after two days orientation camp..

Bob McGinn, who has replaced Rick Gosselin as the writer who has the best draft sources and gets his information from actual NFL scouts and personnel people, ranked Green 12th among offensive tackles and had him as about a fourth-round pick. He was the 11th offensive tackle drafted, and we took him near the end of the third round. So if he was a reach, it wasn't a major reach.
