Something tells me the players are really going to like Greg Ellis. He has the type of a pleasing personality to get them on his side in a hurry.

Loved Greg Ellis, that injury robbed him of a fantastic and potentially a HOF spot. He was on his way to becoming a dominant force. He was still very good, but could’ve been great.
What injury? The Achilles one? He had his best year after that injury, he had a good career but was never on a hall of fame projectory.

He was on his way to a Hall of Fame career before he broke his leg.

He broke his leg. If you don't know what injury he had then why are you commenting? You obviously don't know much about him.

When did he break his leg? I cant find anything on it? Was it in college?

His play prior to the injury was better. It’s my opinion that he could’ve had a HOF career if not for the injury. Never said he didn’t have a good career.

Alonzo Spellman rolled his leg in the 1999 season. He was absolutely dominant before that happened.
It was like watching a player finally get “it” in realtime. He was becoming dominant what everyone expected him to be. Love Greg in college, was a huge fan of his. I hated we passed on Moss, but was not upset that we took Greg. But I’m not here to change anyone’s mind about him.

Not many people remember how good he was that year. His play in the 1999 season took some of the sting away from passing Moss. He could take over games. He had two 90 plus yard turnovers returned for touchdowns. He was at or above Strahan type level. For those who say he was a good player but not great obviously did not watch football back then.

I firmly believe that if we don't lose Ellis and Irvin we're in the Super Bowl that year.
