I think Cooper Rush had some fantastic final preseason game. May have gotten cut thereafter.
Lots easier to put up numbers in the final preseason game when they're playing all the guys who won't be in the league in a week.
I don't think Cooper Rush ever had 4 tds in a game. I could be wrong.

Grier is probably more prepared to start the regular season, than Dak or Cooper Rush with all the reps he got during preseason. Lol

How often have you seen a QB that plays the entire last game in preseason not get cut? And you are going to go on one PS game that he played great against 2nd and 3rd and 4th string, and forget the games that he made stupid, boneheaded decisions? And all the practice time he got? The coaches know what he has. It isn't better than Rush. And it isn't worth keeping over Lance/
I remember Romo getting a full game from Parcells. He stuck around awhile if I remember correctly. Lol

Yep, Grier has shown what Romo did. LOL. Grier has pretty much sucked except for tonight. If he had played like this making good decisions, we wouldn't have traded for Lance. One game doesn't make up for a couple years.

Me neither. Watching him previously, even though he wasn't successful, it was quite apparent that he has some tools. I have no idea what to think about him after tonite.
I think that he might be traded.

And even funnier if he's better than Lance(Very good chance of that!!!!)
I don’t know if Grier was popular with his teammate. These guys all know how the NFL works, nonetheless, sentiments may be running high in deference to Grier right now. After going through camp with him, this close to cut down day, he balls in the final preseason game knowing he’s packing his bags now. Trey Lance walks into this situation and has to be on the 53 man roster, so someone else will be packing their bags, as well. All this angst for a guy who will never play a down this season. And he is a comparatively well paid players for where he is on the Cowboys depth chart.

That's what I would do. Put Rush on the PS.
Agreed.

It's very simple.

No other team would pick up Cooper Rush if he makes it to our practice squad.

Will Grier will not make it to our practice squad. Someone will pick him up via waiver wire.

Too little too late. He had his chance. He'll be somebody else's 3rd stringer. Meh
Not sure if he will. It isn't like he's some developmental QB whose talent just finally crested. He's an up-and-down player who had an up moment. Most teams want more consistent players than him as their No. 2 and players who are more developmental as their No. 3.

He is only fifth year, though, so some team might see this as a sign that he can grow into the player he was tonight ... like Dallas did a couple of years ago when the Cowboys claimed him.
