How 'bout Al Johnson? Coming in and stepping up.

Cowboys kept running up the middle behind him. Bledsoe sacked ZERO times

Depth at C? Could this be true????

Good Point - Al Johnson came in (minus Haynesworth) and handled the DL very well.

Bill was pretty pleased with Al through TC and preseason. I wouldn't be shocked if we re-signed both he and Gurode.

Me, I wasn't a believe but Gurode is playing great.

You're absolutely right.

Gurode has been playing very, very well. This is the guy we all were excited about.

I'm not excited yet -- he's played well for stretches previously. But, despite his reported concentration problems he does seem a better fit at center.

Did Gurode go back in for a little while towards the end of the game after he got stitched up, or did Johnson play every snap after Gurode got hurt?

Mickey just said that Jeff Fisher went out of his way to approach several Cowboys players about the Haynesworth incident after the game...

He told them he didn't coach that way and he will deal with it...

I've always liked Fisher...I'm just sad that his GM can't get him enough quality talent. :(

Was the actions of Haynesworth considered criminal? It sure looked intentional. Off the field of play that action is called assault and could be prosecuted.

No one could convince me it wasn't intentional.

The guy should get a minimum of 4 games... I would be pressing criminal charges lol...

I wouldn't be surprised if he cuts him.

I believe Haynesworth is a free agent at the end of the year

On the field or off, it is clear that the act was criminal.

I'd be shocked if the cops in Tenessee weren't doing the paperwork right now - likely they'll be in contact with Haynesworth and he and his lawyer will have to come down to the station so he can be arrested.

There is a precedent for this in hockey. Kicking someone would likely be classified as assault with a deadly weapon.

I like the thought of suspending him without pay - I'd also like to see him brought up on charges. Having someone stomp on your bare head while they're wearing cleats isn't part of the game or a risk you should assume to play the game. It's assault. Throw his *** in jail.

I actually don't think you need to press charges for an assault that was witnessed. Any lawyers out there to clarify?

Assault is assault, weather it's witnessed or not IMO. Haynesworth had many opportunities in the game to hit him as hard as he wanted but he couldn't, so he choses to do so while he's down. What a Coward, the NFL better come down on this dude Hard.

Ahem, as an attorney, assault is putting someone in the fear of receiving a battery (think of pulling back your fist while close to someone's face, but NOT hitting them). BATTERY is the actual unlawful touching or contact. So Haynesworthless is guilty of battery (technically, he could not be guilty of assault because Andre never saw it coming, thus was never in fear).

I'd suspend Worthless, fine him AND have him pay for A.G.'s plastic surgery, if necessary. Then let the Nashville police handle the criminal aspects of battery. Some baseball player was arrested for using the bat on the mascot last year, right?

Damn -- I knew that too. (or I guess I used to know it b/c I said assault).

So what about the "pressing charges" issue? Does Andre need to pursue this or would the police be likely to take it up on their own?

Police/D.A. have every right to arrest and pursue/press charges for any crimes committed in their jurisdiction. This one was unfortunately witnessed by thousands.

Andre would not have to be directly involved.
