Gus Johnson: 2015's Most Overlooked Running Back

He has been my pet cat since we signed him. People forget that a RB is the easiest position to come in and play in the NFL as well.

If he can pass block and knocks out a couple hundred yards in the PS he's here to stay.

As I stated weeks ago when he was signed, nobody ever heard of Alfred Morris or Terrell Davis when they came into the league. How did that turn out?

Hey Aven, love the avatar. A new Farley doc just came out today (I AM CHRIS FARLEY), gonna watch it now. Trailers look good. I think his brother and family had a big part in it's development.

Thanks bro. I will have to check that out! I miss him. :(

Avatars are funny because when you read post you start to think that's who the poster looks like! I've had it since day one! Da' Boys, Da' Boys, Da' Boys!!!!! ;)

There is a Gus Johnson on every team in the league that fans have high hopes on .
I sure wish the Cowboys could have gotten Rawles instead of Seattle.

Are they keeping Rawls or Michael?

It'll be interesting to see who they go with, it'll be equally interesting if we decide to pursue whoever they release, or another name after cuts.

As far as the topic, why can't Gus be that guy? Our #1 priority is a back that can run downhill, that's what Murray was best at. I don't see any our backs getting more than 15 carries a game, but if Gus can be the guy that carries it 20 times if we need him to be and avg over 4 yards a carry while thumping people, then by all means let him have it.

I think it is comical to look at the Seahawks third back situation and wonder which one we can get. Like it would matter.

There have many unknown type RBs that looked great in TC and preseason but never did anything in real games. I skeptical that Gus is ready.

Darryl Clack anyone...

Rawls most likely.

Rawls has looked good so far, however I have a hard time seeing Seattle give up on a SPARQ superstar. If they would take James Carpenter and Bruce Irvin over 40 more rational picks because of SPARQ, I don't think they will dump someone with as high a score as Christine for someone with as average as score as Rawls. I could be wrong though.

Honestly I think putting too much into SPARQ could be the downfall of that organization

Funny, because there was a lot a
bout this Dallas draft class having high SPARQ ratings.

I think we actually out SPARQed Seattle.

What scared me about that is that if it not a coincidence, you may see us drafting 3rd rounders in the 1st due to high SPARQ scores

my opinion is that leapfrogging Dunbar will not really be all that hard to do. I would not be surprised at all to see Dunbar cut by end of training camp. I think Dallas is in fact auditioning for his replacement

People said this same thing last year though.

yeah, I say that Dunbar is on edgy ground but I have to correct myself and say that with caution. The only RB I think is actually safe is Randle. But yeah, ST is very important and Dunbar may need that skillset.

People on the team rave about Dunbar.

Garrett raved about him in an OTA press conference.

Witten made very positive comments about him.

One of the defensive players brought up his name the other day in a radio interview. Oddly I think it was Tyrone Crawford, but I'm not 100% on that, I might be mixing up interviews that I've heard recently.

Beasley did a radio interview a day or 2 ago and raved about Dunbar. Beasley said Dunbar can't be covered as a receiver or something to that effect.
