Guyton and Carson

Get outta here, you were the biggest of them all.

Exact problem with this fanbase. All they go off of is based on what they hear and are told.

Ridiculous
To be fair, that what we have to go off of in preseason and camp, if supposed professionals are saying these are promising guys, and we as fans aren’t watching practices ourselves…..we go off the “professionals”….shame on them for being bad at their job, being so wrong, and misleading us.

The assassin told Guyton he already got the 2 best rushers out the way between him and Guyton. What a leader

Carson is very bad.

I would bench him when we have a healthy replacement. Dude can't cover and can't tackle. And he appeared to be giving low effort, to boot.

Guyton has to play though.

Going into the draft most reported that Guyton has great upside/potential but will struggle some while learning technique and switching from right to left.

He make mistakes but he is still young and learning. At worst he could be swapped over to RT as Steele has not done well since his injury.

Also of all the coaches that need replaced I would argue that oline ooach Solari needs to be the first.

I do think Carson was a steal in the round we got him in. He is a rookie that shows flashes. He was not meant to be thrusted into a starting position but injuries made it so. And he even was injured before coming back for this past game.

The whole team, especially defense, is struggling. Lack of your top 4 pass rushers is going to make it hard for anyone in the secondary.

These two are not like Taco, Hill or BossmanFat.

The season is a going to be a rough one, so you play young guys to build for next season. Play all the young guys, heck call em up from the PS to play in games.

Both rookies are playing with injuries.

5th round CBs rarely fare well in their rookie seasons. Bland was an outlier. He's been pressed into action this season due to all the injuries. Not saying he'll definitely bounce back much better next season, but we'll have a better idea of what he can become then.

Carson was the #4/ depth guy when the cornerbacks were healthy. He should go back to the bench/on the field here and there if Diggs, Bland and Lewis are ever healthy at the same time.

Guyton constantly kills any momentum this offense has with his constant penalties and pressures. If we want any chance at competing for anything this year he has to hit the bench.. otherwise the offense will continue to suffer in games because we’re in 3rd and longs due to him.

Aside from Dak and MM struggling, these two rookies should not see the field again in 2025…

Guyton kills drives with either penalties or sacks.

Carson when playing gets cooked religiously.
And he can’t tackle…
The team is done. We aren't making the playoffs. The only point in playing the rest of the season is to give the rookies and younger players lot of game experience and coaching so they have a chance to get better.

Honestly I'm not sure that these guys are horrible players, they were simply not ready to be thrown into the fire. The entire knock on Guyton coming out of the draft was that he was raw and would need time. Carson was a 5th round guy, similar story to Bland who also needed some time to get his feet wet at this level. Tyron Smith would have been the perfect guy to let Guyton ease into the league. It was also a huge mistake not going after a veteran DB once Bland went down with injury. Carson would have likely been fine as a rotational player, expecting the 5th round rookie to start day 1 is setting everyone up for failure.

If Cason could stop allowing passes for big gains he'd be alright. I mean when Bland comes back Cason will probably play lesser of a role anyway. Guyton is gonna get someone kicked whether its from incompetence or one of his holding calls and having someone have to get us out of a 2nd and 20 hole.

I mean they have so many injuries I won't knock them for having to throw Cason into there. Had the pass rush been better he would've been better.

The rest though....

There's no way this tfront office is this stupid to think Guyton who everyone knew was raw was ready to start.

This all come back down to the timing of signing Lamb or Dak. We can argue they should've done it or not. But they did. They should've signed Dak and Lamb as early as possible and never cut Tyron. Or bring in another tackle veteran somewhere. Guyton should not have been starting and if they think him playing like this is helping him and his confidence they are foolish. Doesn't help that who knows what the OL coach is teaching him.

Guyton needs to be benched because what he's doing is not improving. He's getting worse it seems.

Guyton and Carson are not the problem. It could be argued that Carson is a bright spot.

This has turned into an evaluation season . Play all the rookies and young guys.

Trade Martin and Turpin while they still have value.

I think Richards should get the majority of the snaps at Lt the rest of the way. Carson needs to be used sparingly. He isn't ready. Not sure our players are getting the preparation they need honestly. I don't trust this staff. I do trust Jeff Zgonnia. The d line coach. That guy has juice and I think someday can be a HC. I like his fire.

How has Carson been a bright spot? Dude can’t cover well and he always seems to miss 1 on 1 tackles that leads to crucial gains. He was a bright spot in training camp, that’s it.
