Which Dak?
the one playing in a secure pocket?
or the other guy under pressure?

I can honestly say that if we lose because of Purdy I can live with that. If Dak has a good game and we lose because they ran it down out throats and throw short passes to Deebo that go for massive gains I will be very disappointed.

Purdy in my view fits well with what San Fran wants out of him. His play has been very good with few mistakes. Cowboys will need to get after him but not the biggest concern in this game. SF rushing attack is the biggest factor.

I give Purdy tons of credit for moxie, character, and confidence. He played a lot of ball in college. He’s going to probably have a long career as a solid backup QB.

He doesn’t have a strong arm. He‘s in the perfect system with the perfect coach. A super star RB behind a very good OL, very good WRs, and a great TE. Opposite him is a great defense. If he had stepped in after injury with the Jets, maybe a different story. With the Dolphins, maybe successful, but he would be under constant rush pressure. With the Ravens, yikes.

With that team, in the defense continues to shine and the offense continues to protect him and not ask him to do too much, he could help SF win a SB. The Dallas defense has a great challenge ahead. He will be successful if not pressured. Unless we move Parsons around, he will be across from HOFer and still superstar, Trent Williams, and SF will likely run right at him.

Well yea…I think this is pretty common knowledge for anyone that has a clue about football.

Sunday is going to come down to Dak vs Brock though, it’s going to come down to what team has the better overall day.

Smoke and mirrors will come to an end Sunday afternoon. Purdy was drafted dead last for a reason. Dak was drafted much higher because he had a superior college career. Dak lead the #1 ranked team in college.

Dak is playoff battle proven and Purdy is a novice with just one win. Purdy won't be able to handle a #1 defense like Dallas. Quinn will have him seeing ghosts.

I just can't see anyone claiming Purdy is the better QB
Dak was drafted in the fourth round, Brady was drafted in the sixth round. Romo was undrafted. Kurt Warner was stocking shelves. The reasons you were drafted last doesn't matter once the games start. Players often outplay their draft position. Hopefully, Purdy won't Sunday.

I agree…Purdy was plagued by bad line play at Iowa State though…and still had good numbers. He probably should have been a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Dak has experience on his side and should outperform Purdy by a lot.

Force Purdy to beat us, and we have a great chance. The closest he came to smelling defeat is against the Dolphins and the Raiders.... in which he threw for 35 or more times both games. The only 2 games he had to throw 35 times.

And if you didn't see the Dolphins/Niners game - no it was not a blowout. it came down to a 4th down challenge very late in the game in which Shanahan won. Otherwise, Miami had a real chance to put some pressure on a rookie QB to lead a game winning drive.

If we force Purdy to attempt the kinda throws there aren't there, I think we have a real good chance, and to nab a turnover or two in the process.

No he’s not. Stop this. This team does not respond well to praise. They will hear it all week in the media

Purdy has done a great job as a rookie, let alone as Mr. Irrelevant.

If the draft was an exact science you wouldn't have busts nor would Dak of fallen to the 4th. Brady fell to the 6th, and he was alright too for 20 years.

At this stage I think Dak is better too, but they don't play head to head on the field. IMO it's more about the defense vs the run game. We know they can get after the Quarterback. It's more about if they can force 3rd and long and not 3rd and 2 all game.
Purdy beat up on a known opponent last week. Dallas is an entirely different beast. He won't be ready.

let us not rush to judgement. Dak's interceptions and inconsistency may come back anytime. Being worst in the league while being paid 42 mil+ a year bothers me . Purdy is hot but still green. Will see

Or you could say that he has the best game in the current playoffs out of the QB's and is not the highest paid QB in them....it all on how you want to view it.

You clearly have not been watching him play.

it is intriguing to see how he does in the playoffs . He is still being paid more than all the QBs in the palyoffs except maybe for mahomes long term ( mahomes made only like 13 mil this year .
Also ,do you honestly and confidently feel he is a better QB than Burrow or Allen ? or Lawrence ? . Not sure many GMs woulds agree
