I give Purdy tons of credit for moxie, character, and confidence. He played a lot of ball in college. He’s going to probably have a long career as a solid backup QB.
He doesn’t have a strong arm. He‘s in the perfect system with the perfect coach. A super star RB behind a very good OL, very good WRs, and a great TE. Opposite him is a great defense. If he had stepped in after injury with the Jets, maybe a different story. With the Dolphins, maybe successful, but he would be under constant rush pressure. With the Ravens, yikes.
With that team, in the defense continues to shine and the offense continues to protect him and not ask him to do too much, he could help SF win a SB. The Dallas defense has a great challenge ahead. He will be successful if not pressured. Unless we move Parsons around, he will be across from HOFer and still superstar, Trent Williams, and SF will likely run right at him.
