The latest hater point for the haters. And it’s not even true. They’ve been inconsistent mostly due to the play of the defense. But you’ve proven you have no football acumen so this is not surprising.
Oh sure, they've been inconsistent due to defensive play at time, but anyone ignoring the fact Dak has also been up and down is just blind. He wasn't very good against the Titans (85 rating) or the Texans (79 rating) and bad against the Skins (45 rating). That's sprinkled in amongst some really good games. That's in the last 8 games. So yeah, he's been inconsistent.

So my point stands. If he plays like he did against the Bucs, they have a great shot to win. If he plays like he did against the Texans or Titans, it's going to be a much tougher game to win. How anyone can disagree with that............ LOL.

Smoke and mirrors will come to an end Sunday afternoon. Purdy was drafted dead last for a reason. Dak was drafted much higher because he had a superior college career. Dak lead the #1 ranked team in college.

Dak is playoff battle proven and Purdy is a novice with just one win. Purdy won't be able to handle a #1 defense like Dallas. Quinn will have him seeing ghosts.

I just can't see anyone claiming Purdy is the better QB
Brady? Cassel? it happens every so often. but his career is just starting, so he can go either way. what helps a young QB is a great run game ala Dak in 2016 leaning on Zeke and the run game. SF has a great run game.

He’s been up much more than down. Half those int’s weren’t his fault and neither was the fumble. But you haters are blinded by your hate and blame EVERYTHING on the QB. How ignorant but none the less enlightening and comical.

Every quarterback has tipped passes and WR run the wrong route. Dak led the league in picks missing near half the season. He was throwing into coverage and downright inaccurate too.

He was better yesterday but ignoring what was an obvious trend because of a single game is putting blinders on.

I based it on 7 years. Not 1 game.

Exactly.

And the main point still stands - if he plays like he did yesterday, they have a great shot. If he plays like he did against the Texans or Titans or Commanders? They are gonna be in a pickle unless the D is playing out of its minds and generating turnovers..

I'm hoping Dak's renewed performance becomes a permanent exception to the usual way things happen. I expect he'll have many games that are exceptional and some that are just reminders of the past. Here's fervently hoping it's the former, rather than the latter. ;)

It took Dak 7 years to get 2 wins but who’s counting.Dak should be the better quarterback, and a fifth round versus a seventh round with Brady being a sixth round don’t mean much does it.

It is sad that you have to say that and that only goes to show Purdy is gonna be a player. Just not this week though

I think its a good place for Dak to start a conversation about if or not he is better than Purdy.

As long as you dont want to compare him with good QBs.

he is but he should be being that Purdy was one pick away from being an Undrafted rookie

and side note

this forum is looking a lil light on the content...there was double the amount of post and threads and somehow i left for like 4 days because i got annoyed and somehow its a ghost town
It's because the Dak haters have been silenced back into their caves. Dak's performance at Tampa Bay totally destroyed their vitriolic plans.

I don't think the QB "matchup" - if there even is such a thing - matters much here. They're going to try to run the ball down our throats. Whether or not they can do so is going to decide this game.
The last two playoff losses for the Cowboys has been to teams with inferior quarterbacks. If Dallas can't stop the run, there QB won't matter.

In Purdy's 7 wins he hasn't been asked to do a whole hell of a lot. I think in only two of those games did he throw 30 times. And one of those games went into OT.

Purdy has the easiest QB job in the playoffs. Like I said when Jimmy G went down, the team is not QB dependent!
Exactly. The QB is interchangeable in that system. Jimmy G wasn't the reason they beat us last year in the playoffs - its was Deebo's running that did. This year they have McCaffrey to go with him - that has me very worried. Its not about Purdy unless he super chokes and starts fumbling the ball away. Not going to count on that.

That’s because half the forum was “Dak can’t do it in the postseason” posts. Those folks are sitting on their hands for now.

Purdy has caught lightning in a bottle. Frankly almost any QB could look good with the O line and weapons San Fran has on offense. The question is whether the stage will eventually get too big for him as the pressure increases. Some D coordinator is going to figure out a way to hit him in the mouth a few times and see if they can give him a case of the Yips. We haven't seen it so far and he is much more elusive then folks give him credit for. I'm hoping Dan Q can figure out a way. Shanahan is one helluva coach, and I think he will have a plan for almost every situation. That said, Mike Tyson once said everyone has a plan until you hit them in the mouth.

I'd force the kid to throw the ball
oh, I am with you. if we are to lose this game, it better be on Purdy. if the kid does it, then great. we can't let the running game beat us, so sell out to stop the run. force him to throw.
