The draft is today?

MEH...........

The Cowboys have hit on 8 of their last 11 1st rd draft picks. So what makes you have that attitude?

id Argue they missed on Van Der Esch, Taco and Claiborne.

They would be happy with drafting any of those other 8 picks again this year.

Kind of meh right now but I think the excitement picks up tonight.

I miss the weekend drafts. Waking up Saturday morning when I had a house with my two best buddies growing up, who were also rabid Cowboys fans, was the best. We made an entire day out of it and there were no distractions. It was food and football, and none of the actual responsibilities that come with being an adult. Those draft days were special. This format isn't bad, but I loved the weekends.

Even if Cowboys screw up our first round pick tonight, sounds like you will at least be eating and drinking good.

They can still ruin it at the end. I was also having an awesome time in 2017 watching my guy TJ Watt falling right into our laps. Then the morons took Taco and my night was ruined. As well as the next decade of Cowboys football.

Work until 9:00 EST and might miss a few picks. Bringing home a pizza and some Dos XX.

Now, this is the bomb!

From what I can see, the sidelines directly adjacent to the field needs to go. That stuff has no business at a draft party.

My thought is, whoever Dallas picks, will be gone in 4 yrs when they get a better contract.

And even if they signed him to a ten year contract, he’d holdout halfway through to renegotiate a new contract. It would have to be equal or exceed current market value, or he would angrily liken his ordeal to being exploited by evil rich guys.

Anything longer would result in a holdout anyways. Contracts are rarely honored anymore. Players feel dissed if they don’t get a huge raise every two or three years.

I rewrote this because my previous post was tagged with “awaiting moderator approval”. Anyone have a clue what word triggered the Censor Bot Algorithm?

We’ll find out in a few hours just how happy this draft day it ends up being. For the fans who don’t like our first pick it won’t be very happy. Draft day can end up being a big moan and groan cry fest for those who hate our first pick. A lot of fans can come to a conclusion on a player on draft day. Jerry could end up making a crazy move that could send this board into a meltdown. It’s been a rough off-season hopefully our first pick brings us a little solace. We may have to knock one out of the park the next three days to improve the team for this season.

A meltdown by lots of people will happen no matter who they pick.

A lot of fans aren’t even pumped up for the draft this year. A majority still haven’t recovered from the playoff loss and our lack of activity in free agency hasn’t helped them get over it. Regardless who we take in the draft the next three days a lot of fans are convinced we’re headed for a down 2022 season. I’m one of those who isn’t very optimistic about the upcoming season. We’re going to have to draft at least three players that make a significant impact this upcoming season to have any chance of improving.

I keep hearing about us moving up in the 1st round....why? So you want to risk blowing the draft when you could have picked up some sure thing 1st round talent in Free Agency? I just don't get it!!!

Well I trust their drafting and early drafting. If they only have 1 to 15 1st round players then let THEM get 1 if possible
