Hardy charges officially expunged

I'm pretty sure the NFL had the pictures had as well and that's why they suspended him. The entire 10-game suspension was nonsense because Goodell knew that wouldn't hold up. And Hardy knew that his appeal against the NFL for the 4-game would mean them leaking the photos.

I don't think any Cowboys fan should be embarrassed about this. It doesn't matter what team Hardy chose to play for, the majority of their fanbase would be sticking to the points that Hardy's supporters have made here.

I will say it for the millionth time. You have Aldon Smith, a multiple time violent criminal...gets signed by the Raiders and is playing. Ray McDonald had a violent domestic abuse charge against him, never got suspended and continued to play with the Niners last season. Adrian Peterson violently and unmercifully beat his kids to the point where even the more ardent corporal punishment believers feel that Peterson went way too far (and with photos leaked) and he's playing for the Vikings.

No complaints about Smith, McDonald and Peterson. No sitdown group roundtables on ESPN about Smith, McDonald and Peterson. No OTL specials focusing on Peterson, Smith or McDonald.

IMO, Peterson is by far the worst offender of the group because the children he was beating:

a) were not developed enough to know any better.

b) could not possibly defend themselves in any way, shape or form.

There is ZERO consistency with the media and almost any fan that has the gall to criticize the Cowboys and their fans. And that makes them hypocrites. And it also means that they don't care about Hardy's ex-gf...they just care about a great player playing for the Cowboys who they hate.

Snipping to save space. IIRC there was plenty of discussions regarding Peterson. Especially when the pictures were leaked. The Vikings and Peterson weathered the storm.
Same will happen with Dallas and Hardy. Buckle up.

And yes, Dallas does get the most attention. They are one of the highest talked about teams, regardless of who they sign or what their record is. It is what it is.

The media wont let this die, hardy didn't do anything to get negative attention this week, lets throw out a few pics. They probably already working on more material for when this loses the click appeal.

It's just confirmation of what we already knew. He beat a woman, was found guilty in a bench trial, requested a trial by jury, and then the female half of it basically disappeared. Prosecution thinks she took some money and stopped cooperating.

This is confirmation of that first part of it. Yes, he beat a woman. It shouldn't be a surprise or "shocking" to anyone. We knew what we were getting into.

Link please. I've never seen any credible evidence for this.

In July, Hardy had been convicted by a judge of assaulting and threatening to kill Holder, a former uptown waitress. But District Attorney Andrew Murray said his office hasn’t talked to Holder since November. And despite what Murray described in court as “extraordinary measures” to locate her, they still don’t know where she is.

The prosecutor also told Superior Court Judge Robert Sumner that Holder had agreed to a settlement with Hardy, which heads off any civil lawsuits she might file in connection with the case. No dollar amount was mentioned.

Just a note about this, because it's going to come out. The story people are quoting here is one that's original content for a domain that's blocked on CZ. Please don't try to circumvent the block in order to get the link to work. You all know how to get to the pictures if you want to see them.

And, please, everybody just exercise respect in discussions about the issue of domestic abuse. Remember that this is an issue that affects more than the principals who were involved in the Hardy case. We will have fellow fans who've been touched by abuse in some way or fashion in their lives. We've all got mothers, daughters, sons, husbands, children. Let's have honest discussions without resorting to insensitivity that leads to threads being closed and posting privs suspended.

Thanks.

That's still not credible evidence, and not exactly what the prosecutor said. The prosecutor said they suspected she settled, not that she did for a fact. The prosecutor never produced any evidence of this.

Why do people care? I lf Hardy did hit her and she took the money instead of sending him to jail than it shouldnt matter. Same thing with Ray Rice wife, she still married him AFTER he knocked her out instead of sending him to prison, after that happened everyone should have let it go.

Yeah, I don't understand the outrage. I learned nothing new in the article. He beat her up. That was already known. The outrage should have been around already.

Good news is this coming out now will only help Dallas re-sign him or give them more of an opportunity.

They're so focused on the NFL that they completely ignore what happens in other sports. MLB has DV issues yet we never hear about it, and they never spoke about Kurt Busch smashing his wife's head against the wall. Did they even mention Johnny Manziel's troubles last night?

Nothing. That story was there and went away. It really ticks me off that that guy doesn't get called out for anything. Nantz and Simms were going a diatribe about Hardy a few weeks ago but Manziel starts, no fines, no suspensions, no mentions, no nothing.
