Feel bad for Hardy though. Dude is being railroaded. It was clear as day this wasn't some brutal assault like people made it seem. He was essentially suspended all of last season and then the NFL had the audacity to suspend him for 10 games this year. Now this comes out. He clearly wants to move on. Just let him. He's clearly a good dude. Yeah if you wanna say he shouldn't put himself in that situation by dating crazy women okay, but he's not this violent psychopath. We know how great is he is on the field. I don't either but nothing we can do. I'll always be a Cowboy fan. What I get a kick of is people trying to defend him. There's no doubt in my mind if he was on another team he'd be universally attacked. If he was an Eagle it would only give me another reason to hate them.

Well he's already being universally attacked and not everyone that is a Cowboy fan is defending him and for the people that are it's because he's being treated like a serial killer and they don't even get treated and railroaded as badly as Hardy has been since this happened. He made a costly mistake that he has to live with for the rest of his life. It doesn't mean he should be banished from all existence either. You really think he's getting off easy here, he definitely isn't. If he were an Eagle there would be Cowboy fans that would hate him but there would also be people that would be defending him because the media has gone way overboard in their treatment of him.

I'll take this piece of trash because with Greg Hardy the Cowboys a legit Super Bowl contender if healthy. We're as good as anyone in the league and probably would've been right up there with Cincinatti, New England, and Denver for the best record in football. We can be a dominant football team with him. That's what it's all about. Winning championships not trying to PR and dump a guy because he had an off field issue.

Most of the ones that would defend him would be Eagle fans. There are always exceptions. I get it. Many of the fan base will side with the player to justify rooting for him. He got his one chance.

This has all been argued in previous threads and now there's pictures. There are even a couple of pictures of the injuries he got.

If he took the original bench trial verdict where he only got 18 months probation for a misdemeanor, he would be off of probation in 2 more months.

And here we are, still looking at photos and debating the merits of the case the day his charges are officially expunged from his record.

He served his suspension, didn't appeal it to the Feds. paid his fines and has stayed out of trouble. How much more do they want?

I generally agree, but I will say, a lot of the Hardy talk had died down, too, before he made the comments about Giselle and had the incident where he slapped the coach's keyboard. Had Peterson been doing similar things, he'd probably be getting a lot of coverage, too. Not Dallas-level coverage, but he'd be getting the MIN equivalent.

I think that points out to more of the hypocrisy.

'Guns ablazing' is a very common phrase and inferring that the arguably the most popular supermodel in the past 20 years is attractive and so is her model sister makes me wonder if Peterson has said anything in reference to children like 'we were playing like a bunch of kids out there' or 'laying the wood to him.'

But, that is PC Police nonsense where the goal is to pick and choose what to be offended by to the point where nobody knows what is deemed offensive and what is not and nobody looks at the intent of the person's actions or words.

The other point is that Hardy had not played due to serving a suspension. I think it's a real toss up to think it died down until Hardy spoke or if Hardy would have gotten that attention if he had never spoke anyway. And the way they are taking Peterson's case...without a peep to be made....is abominable.

IIRC the pictures in Petersons case were released while he was suspended. So, it's been a while since the photos have been leaked, and people stopped caring. The pictures for Hardy just got released, so now oblivious people are wondering why Hardy is playing, even though he sat out last year(team enforced), and 4 games this year(NFL suspension)

I agree there is hypocrisy. Media loves this type of stuff. It generates clicks, views etc. The fact Hardy is a Cowboy is icing on the cake. In a year, no one will care.

Has there ever been a time when people claimed that Peterson should be permanently banned from the league?

I really don't recall any major sporting press demanding that. So the timing of the photos being released is a moot point.
