Not really, if the guns weren't legally owned, we would have heard about it. And to my knowledge, Holder never claimed he brandished the guns, so all in all it is one incident and should be treated that way.

And fwiw, the NFL would get killed if they negotiated him giving back 4 game checks, and missing no games this year. If I'm them, I make a judge order me to do that, which I doubt will happen.

The NFL and Holder are saying the guns were present during the fight. She said she was thrown onto a bed of guns. No one ever said he brandished one but they are saying the guns are part of the suspension.

As far as the compromise, they are already doing it with the Peterson case. They could say the Doty appeal, the Contempt charges by the NFLPA and the potential Hardy appeal are all being resolved by the compromise. The Courts, Hardy, the NFLPA and League could all live with it but not love it. That is a good compromise.

Sorry if this was covered already (I didn't look at the other nine pages yet), but now the Cowboys know what Hardy's cap hit will be (I believe roughly $8.8 million).

He was at 3.2m and now will add 10 games at 580k per(2 games already counted from last year)= 9m 8.8m
I forgot to subtract the 4/16ths of his base 750k salary or another 190k


Dallas is at 11.5m under the cap, so minus the new 5.6m would leave them around 5.9m under if the 4 games stand

See this Hardy is no mystery all, just a clear case of Goodell trying to slam it to the Cowboys and it did not work.

Like I said, he is a veteran and know the game. From all accounts from what I hear, he is a hard working dude and brings the heat even in practice.

But he was accused of domestic violence, which in today's America automatically makes him the lowest form of scum on the planet, worse than convicted-beyond-a-reasonable-doubt serial killer rapist pedophiles.

Don't get me wrong, if it ever comes out that Hardy did in fact do the things that he was alleged to do, he will be essentially dead to me. But I actually believe in the legal system of this country and if the courts ultimately believed there was enough of a reasonable doubt to not pursue the case further, then that is good enough for me.

Not to quibble but the DV Attorney the NFL hired didn't reach that conclusion after doing an investigation. She was hired because the NFL knew she would regurgitate the conclusion they wanted - and told her ahead of time. The same is true of most expert witnesses in trials, the expert makes a lot of money by agreeing with what the client wants.
