Season ticket holders sell their seats to rival fans for a profit?
Psst. As season tickets get more expensive, you get more people with big money looking to capitalize on an investment. It can cost, what, up to 10k per seat for the season.

Even as a superfan, you might be tempted to make much of that back when a huge rival comes to town.

I guess I think it would be better for home field advantage if investors didn’t have the tickets.

There are stadiums out there where home fans don’t sell nearly as many tickets as Cowboy fans do.

It’s their money, they can do what they want, but I am gonna hate seeing tons of green in the stands on Sunday.

I can't control who buys my tickets online. I'm going Sunday, and I've been to every playoff game in Jerry world, but yes, I sell my tickets to whoever buys them. I sold 3 games last season before June 1st, and got half of my money back. If you had season tickets, you'd understand. If I can sit at home and sell my tickets for TRIPLE, I'm doing that all day (regular season games).

Pretty crazy how 50,000 Cowboys fans show up and
take over the "Commanders" stadium in week 18 but
the locals can't fill their home stadium in a playoff game.

GB fans will fill the vacancies... smh

Exhibit A in the case of "road game fans are better than locals".
Fed-ex field has always been a home game for the Cowboys.

I don't agree that there will be a ton of Packers fans there. It's tough to put together a plan to get to a playoff game in less than a week. People look at a regular season game where Packers fans or 49ers fans or Steeler fans have a ton of time to get tickets and make travel plans and end up with a ton of people in the crowd. The playoffs are a different thing altogether.

I went back and looked at my pictures from when we played the 49ers two years ago. There were definitely some 9er fans there, but not more than 10-15%, and that's another fan base that typically travels well.

I've been to every playoff game at AT&T stadium and they are all a great environment. That 49er game went south quickly, so that was probably the worst crowd, but I would blame the team more than the crowd for that one. Not much to cheer for.

Went to the Cowboys/Eagles game earlier this year and the crowd was fantastic for that.

2 tickets would have cost me 804.00. I ain’t got that to drop
I'd been checking SeatGeek earlier this week for two tickets for my son and I to fly in from Boston area for the weekend and game and that was the best I could find too for decent seats...then I'd have plane tickets!

Locals aren’t Cowboys fans. A lot of transplants in DFW, and Texas period.

I'm sorry, what? "Locals aren't Cowboys fans?"
I grew up in Dallas, I know what I’m talking about, it’s not like the Midwest or Northeast where you have generations of families in most of your residents. There’s a crap load of people that have moved into Texas lately. It’s the worst in a state like Florida, where they can’t even sell out their baseball stadiums because everyone is a Yankees, Red Sox, or Phillies fan. So my point is even though it’s a giant metroplex, don’t get onto Dallas because I’m sure a large majority of the residents didn’t even grow up as Cowboys fans. If anything, the guy criticizing the local should be criticizing themselves. How is the team like Green Bay able to get that many fans that far? Where are the freaking traveling Cowboys fans?

Typically 90,000 fans. Always sold out. The tickets listed are for resale, by season ticket holders.
Many who are out of town. And may not be able to make it, or do not want to make the trip.
Or just resale for profit and go to one or two game a years that way.

They do not know which fan of the team they are that buys them.

When I sold my PSLs in 2016. a guy from Seattle bought them.

I know a guy that was born and raised in DFW, hates the Cowboys. But yet he defends. Jimmy Johnson vs. Jerry.

Then again he is an idiot and a fair weather fan. His favorite teams are those that current are winning in all major sports. and college.

All of a sudden he likes Michigan. Though he is an avid Longhorns fan.
He used to like the Rangers, until the Astros won a World Series. I am waiting to see if he likes the Rangers again come time for baseball.
I call him out on this all the time. And in front of our friends at the bar.

His recent favorite teams, Chiefs, TB when Brady went there after they won the SB, has not mentioned them since, Also Alabama And Georgia.
