show me where ryan led a top 1/2 of the NFL D.

sidesteps suck.

Like I said, Al Davis was his boss... A horrific offense puts a lot of pressure of a defense... With NOs he has an offense that he knows he can take risks because of... He also had inept Garrett... But even then, his defense was the least of our worries...

I think he did have one with the Raiders though.. He has one now..

so again , show me any team where ryan was in the top 1/2 of the NFL.

.

Small sample size, but Ryan has taken an historically bad Saints defense last year to top 5 this year. You can't argue with that.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hear something out of the Saints locker room confirming that the Cowboys gave up at some point.

They were getting run over by Mark freakin' Ingram.

In fairness to the defense, when Hatcher tapped out for this game they were in trouble especially against the run. When Lee went out, it was a wrap.

As for Rob Ryan owning Garrett, I think that's fair. As far as Rob Ryan being an elite DC, that's hogwash.

This Dallas Cowboys team lives for the moments to put their names in the record books for every last one of the wrong ******* reasons. Period.

The game was lost, not the team. I'm confident we'll respond in NY. Time to move on from this.

What makes you confident? You think Ellie is going to be gifting the football around the field again? He torched grandpa with a healthy a defense.

Did you see the affection Ryan showed Scandrick after the game? I don't think Ryan has a problem with the Dallas players and I don't think the defensive players have a problem with Ryan. The firing was strictly a front office/coaching decision.

Precisely. The Cowboy players LOVED Ryan. It's just yet one more Jerry Jones screw up...though this one might be big enough to merit finding its way into the ring of dishonorable, failed JJ decisions. We could circle the new stadium several times round with a list of his muckups.

I truly hate Jerry Jones, the GM. Increasingly I ask myself why I should continue to be a fan of this franchise. It brings no happiness whatsoever. And there is ZERO hope on the five-year horizon.

Elite or not, the defense is demonstrably worse with roughly the same amount of injuries last year as this year with Kiffin in charge.

Firing Ryan and switching to a Cover 2 despite not really having the right personnel to do so has proved to be the unmitigated disaster many people thought it was.

He lost me in his first season as head coach. No, not counting 2010.

He was a joke of an OC. Even worse as a head coach.

Our season is on the Brinks right now. If we suffer a loss against the giants after our bye week, then I'd say it's a wrap.

I highly doubt Garrett will get fired even if it's another 7-9, 8-8 season. Jerry is far too attached to him and romo
