Has Garrett lost the team?

Jason Garrett should thank his lucky stars that Aaron Rodgers is hurt. Another game like tonight would pretty much seal his fate and with Rodgers out that's one less game he has to worry about.

The Pack can beat the Cowboys without Rodgers. Their PS QB can beat this team.

Not sure if Garrett has lost the team, but he's losing me for sure. I've been waiting for him to develop this team, but after 3+ seasons I've seen to see much improvement, if any. He just doesn't seem to have it...

Last night is the first time I've turned off a game while it was still on. Embarrassing effort on both sides of the ball and very little emotion.

This team is on a buoy out in the middle of the ocean floating around aimlessly. We go in every which way without really going anywhere or getting anything meaningful accomplished. We have problems ALL over the place on this team - players and coaches.

And Jerry is absolutely not our savior. Which means we're screwed!

Garrett said he had a three year plan. He still has a half of a season for everything to come together. You guys are not giving him a chance. Where are the Garrett supporters this morning to defend the process? You know ,stacking days, process, right kind of guy. Does anybody still defend that BS?

We'll know when we play in NY. How the boys respond after tonight will be key.

I agree. A lot of people on this board saw this train wreck of a game coming from weeks ahead. The Saints with Payton, Ryan, Brees, and all their weapons was just a horrible match up for the Cowboys, healthy or not. How they respond to the Giants will tell us a lot about this team.

Sean Lee's loss was especially brutal. You could feel the heart go out of the Cowboys when that happened last night. Now can they recover with him being gone? I feel the Cowboys will pull out a close one against the Giants. My confidence from then on is lacking. 7-9 if they are lucky. We will see if that is enough to keep Garrett around.

I'm betting any 3 year plan doesn't include a ton of injuries.

Jerry Jones on firing Rob Ryan: "We thought it was best for us to go in the direction that we are, and it doesn’t look good right now."

I think the collective "we" sums it up. Jerry Jones, the guy who fired Jimmy because he felt like he wasn't getting enough credit, is now saying "we" instead of "I".
I've always like Jason Garrett and I think he will be an excellent HC somewhere else. Just as Ryan is a much better DC somewhere else. This is a disfunctional organization and will be as long as Jerry Jones is running it.

Two years in a row this team's defense has been injury ridden. But Ryan's scrubs were WAY better than Kiffin's scrubs. Either that, or Ryan was a WAY better coach.

No

The defense has no talent. The QB can't play anymore. If Garrett were allowed to switch QB's, you would see improvements in the offense.

this right here. A hobbled Ware, no Hatcher, no Lee, no Wilcox, and as much as people don't like the guy, we didn't have Claiborne either. As far as the offense goes, the strategy was definitely to feature Murray, but after a few stops, we found ourselves down 21-10, abandoned the game plan (which we should've based on how things were going), which played into theirs.

Injuries are a part of the game, so he should have factored injuries in. What is it, a three year healthy plan or a four year injured plan? Serious question, do you think injuries are a valid excuse to save his job?

Don't worry. They just need a little time to dream up new excuses.

Teams take on the personality of their coach. It comes through in the schemes, the play calling, and the overall attitude and tenacity players play with. This team is soft and stupid. That tells you all you need to know about Garrett. His idea is to let the defense dictate what you do on offense. Just take what they give you and if they want to take your superstar out of the game, fine, we'll take the 3 and 4 yard passes all day. He has absolutely no ability to scheme an offense that creates mismatches and forces defenses out of their gameplan. Garrett has no passion and is obviously not a leader on men. His teams will always be soft because he allows them to be. Garrett may make someone a fine QB coach but he should never rise above that level again. He can probably help a young QB improve his game but he cannot scheme and lead a group to success.

Agree!I'm so tired of hearing about injuries. Last year it was injuries and when Ryan got fired people were like..."yeah, he was the issue, even with injuries." Honestly, all of this comes back to Garrett. He somehow gets protection from some on here but he allegedly had the power to make hires, bring in players, etc. At least that is what the JG homers would have you believe this off season. So I hope people make of their minds because whatever excuse you make it ends up on JG's lap.

I wasn't impressed with Ryan and I'm not impressed with Kiffin either. It's hard to really judge them without healthy players, though. And neither of them had/has that with Dallas. By the way, the Saints D didn't seem confused and disorganized under Ryan tonight. Hmmmmm.

That was in large part due to NO making us one dimensional.

Garret is an idiot for leaving Ware out there. You could see he was playing hurt. The game was over in the 3rd quarter. Why continue to have Ware go out there and risk further injury in a game that was already over?

Lovie Smith was fired for going 10-6, and missing the playoffs.

Why is Jason Garrett is still here?

Garretts scheme..............its so supposedly complex, Dez cant learn it enough to expand his role after 3 yrs..............and yet so simple there is never a receiver running free, even with Dez being doubled like a punt coverage gunner...........and I'd say they blitzed romo at the same time which should've left them 2 short in the secondary or LB..............go figure.

The Cowboys and the Aggies are very much alike. They both have a terrible defense that can't be counted on to make one simple stop. The difference in the teams is the coaching. Sumlin realizes his defense sucks, so he makes sure that his offense does everything possible to score everytime they have the ball. Garrett on the other hand, is comfortable going with 3 and outs, and throwing crap on the wall see if anything sticks. Garrett is equal opportunity , believing that his punter needs to get his punts in every game.

I don't know if Garrett has lost the team, but for sure I know he has lost his mind. Jerry's World can do that to you.
