The guy hasn't coached one practice or one game yet, and we're believing the worst. In all honesty our anger and negative comments shouldn't be directed at him, but it should be directed at the process in which he was hired. The lazy nature of the job search, and not looking harder at outside candidates isn't on Shotty, it's to blame on the owners of this team. Who knows what could happen, Shotty could surprise us all, Jerry and Stephen doesn't draw an ounce of surprise in us as fans. The Jones family has dried up all hope!! With that said, let's support Shotty, and see what he can do with this team. What's the worst that could happen, a Superbowl appearance or not?? You tell me! Please give your thoughts!

I think more frustration is at the process rather than Schottenheimer. The Cowboys interviewed the fewest candidates for HC of any team this year, and have openly admitted they want to keep continuity, and basically knew he was the guy they wanted from the start. Continuity after a losing season is not what fans want to hear.

The teams of 2021-23 that didn’t come close were much better and deeper than what’s going to be run out there in 25.

Shoddy will fail, but it won’t be about him. He will not be given the players, and trying to make a pure pocket passer out of Prescott is a losing hand.

No one would win here right now and plenty know it.

Can ask the question, but I doubt he cares about the answer.

He got through the presser, and he's done what he can for now, and that's all he can do regarding fans' disenchantment or apathy.

He's no doubt focused on the next chapter, and that has nothing to do with fans. The next time he can affect fans' attitudes will be July training camp and preseason. No sooner.

then why go through all of the games and act as if they were interested in others

Two of those were to satisfy the Rooney rule. The other was Kellen Moore which supposedly got cut short and Shotty.

It's not like we have any choice. It is not our fault we can find nothing on his resume that screams good coach. They say he can be a good walk around coach since he admitted he isn't an X's O's kinda guy except he will also be calling plays. I'm all for a dan Campbell coach but dam relies on really good coordinators to do those X's and O's things. Otherwise he's similar to Jason Garrett early days of being a HC.

I think it is very reasonable to look at what he has accomplished and question why he has this job.

If you want to hope he knocks it out of the park, then please do.

But based on his resume, he does not deserve this job.

Isnt thst a better question for the 31 other teams that had zero interest in him?

I don't know a thing about the guy or his staff. What I do know is that his boss is another reason he will more than likely fail.

YOU fans

in my opinion...his success or failure will be determined by our front-office.
and with jerry as gm...the success i'm talking about is only what he has shown he knows how to build...a team that wins the east and makes the playoffs with an occassional win.

the only way we could win more is to catch lightning in a bottle.

but in the meantime...win the east.

I believe he said, "I'm really good with X"'s and O's but I'm great with people."
