Yeah, you can tell Felix is REAL hobbled...

Wow, people will spin anything to win an argument. T.O. sped up and ran to an angle to the right. Yes, he caught up with him. But that wasn't Felix's 5th gear either. From that clip there is no way to tell. But I will say T.O. looked quicker in that clip than towards the end of this season. Maybe he was banged up. . . .

Gotta love how you do exactly that with your next statements.

Actually I remember now... Felix was limping down the sidelines en route to scoring that TD. TO actually had enough time to grab a set of crutches that he brought to Felix and aided his limping into the endzone.

Thanks for jogging my memory.

True

They should have lined them up in starting blocks and fired a gun - like what ALWAYS happens during a football game.

And that is what is important here, speed on the field, right?

But this is just silly now, you said it couldn't happen, we said it did, you said you wouldn't believe it if you saw it, we showed and guess what- you don't believe it...

One question though- As a Cowboy fan (and I assume you are) how did you miss this and just now see it?

He slowed down when he got towards the endzone. I said he caught up to him. But there are different spectrums of exertion when running. Any amateur kinesiologist will tell you certain levels of exertion vary in different people, etc. T.O. could have been at 95% and FJ at 90%. But in any case, they weren't racing, they were trying to score.

T.O. is fast, but he doesn't have blazing speed like Felix Jones.

Wow... I wonder if TO ever thought that his speed would be talked about this in depth.... especially in his mid 30's after losing all these steps...... lmao

How many time has TO be caught from behind en route to the end zone?
Call your Kinesiologist and get back to me.

See, now you are moving the goal posts...

Let's review, shall we? Here is your comment that started this:

"Show me the video. I do not believe that T.O. can walk down a healthy Felix Jones--no way, no how."

Remember that from like 30 minutes ago? See, that's what we are discussing and what we did. Is TO as fast as Jones, no way. But that wasn't your "challenge" here, was it?

Yep... it was more exciting watching Jones score and TO celebrate with him than trying and explain what happened in vid.

So what happen in 2007 when Glenn was NOT technically here but instead riding the pine all year due to injury? Yet this last season is when we lost Glenn and felt the consequences? OoooooooooK.....! We did fine without him long before he was ever gone.

The reason receivers weren't getting open deep is because our Oline fell on it's face the majority of this last season, thus our QB didn't have the time to allow those plays to develop. The problem lies squarely on Jason Garrett, not altering the playbook in the least to make up for this insufficiency we suddenly were experiencing due to our Oline's over the course of the season.

If you noticed, when Tony moved out of the pocket (Ie. started buying some time on his own) the receivers and the long plays started happening more. The problem was though, our oline was so pathetically bad at times that even Romo couldn't get out of the pocket half the time to even try before being buried up to his eyeballs in defenders trying to murder him.

Forget the WR position, we've invested enough there. Most OC's could make gold out of lead with the group of guys we've got. We need to concentrate on solidifying that Oline if we ever intend to go anywhere. Even our running game never caught hold but in a few games, and that's due to our Oline play also.

Fix the oline, a lot of other stuff gets fixed in the process.

In watching our team this year, it seemed a big part of our problem is that we couldn't stretch the field to open up plays in the middle. So we struggled a bit with our rhythm.

Is part of the problem that T.O. has lost some of his quickness? Yes, I realized he put up big numbers. But the loss of Terry Glenn was only band aided together for a short while when players such as Patrick Crayton stepped up his game.

I think we need to draft a guy who can stretch the field. A burner. That guy Romo can look off the defender and throw deep to, because I think T.O. has lost a step.

Do you agree or disagree?

If Romo consistently underthrows TO , how is he going to hit a guy like Percy Harvin in stride?

Felix doesn't have blazing speed.
Neither does TO.
Felix is a 4.5 or so guy that gets to his top-end almost instantly and doesn't lose speed much on cuts.

Right, he barely ran under 4.5 at the combine- didn't he?
