Hate to burst your bubbles No Rb or WR Round 1

asante gets int's because teams HAVE to pass on the pats. lets see what he does on a dif team.

Seriously, i'd take Newman over Asante any day.

They had to pass against the pats cause they were the #1 offense? Uh...guess who was #2?

Granted, nobody needs to go TNews way when Roy Williams and Jacques Reeves is on you team, but only cowboys fans would say Tnew is better than Asante. Combine that with looking at their age, and you can see it makes more sense from a business standpoint.

People aren't beating him up because of what he's implying as much as they are for the nature in which he's doing so. He's implying his opinion is fact when it isn't. The fact is, he knows no better than anyone else on this forum.

Man o man, my bubblress is bursted. woe is me...blah blah blah.

Your high! Why would we draft a DB only to let a tested veteran go? That makes no sence!

I have to question every ounce of your NFL knowledge when you make a statement like that. This is the NFL, it happens every year.

Salary Cap........pssst.......its a business first.

only a few problems with that post vinnie.

the pats let ty law go in 05, samuel was drafted in 03. (in the 4th round. not the first like u originally posted)

sheldon brown was drafted in 02, taylor was released in 03. They didnt cut him and then draft a pick.

0-2 so far.

pretty sure there has never been a johnny dawkins on the eagles. ur thinkin of troy vincent.

0-3

Ok, fair enough. I'm not dumb enough to agree with him AND say its a fact. I'll be the first to acknowledge none of us have a damn clue whats going to happen.

apparently u missed Peter King, and a number of football people who say Newman is one of the best shutdown corners in the league.

Never is Samuel included.

He gets picks, but so does D.Hall, you must be one of the madden followers.

A complimentary back to Barber Can be found at later rounds. Giants got Bradshaw in the 7th. Greenbay has a bunch of free agents. A wide reciever rarely Has a impact their first two years. I think two CB's will be drafted in the first round. 1st reason Hamlin won't be resigned. I want him back but his price will be too high. 2nd Newman won't be resigned next year and Henry should be a FS.

I hate to burst your bubble too, but I've seen nothing from you that would indicate you know what you're talking about... LOL...

Oh well Hell, that just shoots a hole in my argument. If Peter King said it, it must be true.

I simply can't argue that type of logic. You must have been on the debate team in high school.

The eagirls did it twice. Bobby Taylor and Johnny Dawkins. Brought in Shelden Brown and Lito Sheppard. NE let Ty Law walk and Drafted Samuels.

never heard of an eagle by Johnny Dawkins the pats are cheap they have proven this before its why everyone was shocked when they went after adalius thomas and randy moss

i mean saying a player who has never been in the nfl kills his whole arguement

i see a good number of "football people" on tv who agree samuel is the best cb in the game right now.

Johnny Dawkins played baskeball for Duke and coach K and then went on to the NBA and playerd for the Spurs, 76ers and Pistons. :lmao2:

Me thinks this guy doesn't know who he's talking about

ok now that you named the correct eagle, why did you put him with bobby taylor? Dawk is still an Eagle Taylor left via free agency to be picked up by the seahawks i believe

True my mistake

The point i'm making is that as fans we tend to fall in love with certain players. Teams that are good for long periods of time recognize when its time for a player to go. Jerry is loyal to a fault. So he winds up paying top dollar to players that are past their prime.

I highly doubt we are going to take CBs with both first rounders. Newman will also be resigned, he is one of the top CBs in the NFL.

What I think is most likely to happen is one of our first rounders will be traded for a vet WR.

Newman's past his prime? Si he is 29 but remember he came into the league at the ripe age of 24, He has 5 years of pro football on him with only 1 real injury (his plantar fascia)...so might want to re-think your newmans pas his prime theory

but i do agree with the whole "we fall in love part" to an extent look at how the fans are towards R.W. and julius? even before this year they were calling for their heads...so we fall in love where the talent is. and WE meaning the actual teams fans not trolls or fakers

thank you vinny i have been saying htis since the end of the season. a CB could step in an have an effect. There is no randymoss type receiver in this draft. a wr would be of little help if drafted. we'd be much better off trading one of the picks for say CJ or maybe Roy williams. hell even javon walker would have more of an impact than any rookie wr this year. sorry dudes.

upon reading your post again. there is no way we let newman go. he is becoming a fan favorite and can shut down nearly any wr. he will be key to any 'run " we make

The one exception is Early Ducett.

This kid is going to be a BEAST.

Problem is he will probably be gone at 22, but he is the one WR in this draft that could step in and help his rookie year.
