You say we won't take a CB in the 1st because of the cost and then you say we'll take one in FA? Of Asomugha's caliber? I'd put money on Asomugha costing more than any CB taken at 22 or 28 in this draft. I'd put money on us taking at least 1 CB in the first.

You did see the highlighted part when you read my post, didn't you?

I do like Jones a great deal. I am being swayed by some things I have read on Ray Rice, as well.

If it were me, I would do this.
Sign Barber!!!!!!!!!!!

FA

Bernard Berrian - this guy has the speed. He can make the circus catch. You have to accept he will drop one in his hands occassionally. But this is the outside speed this team needs across from T.O. And simply put, this moves Crayton where he belongs. #3.

Nnamdi Asomugha - I believe this is money best spent. I would love to have Trufant, but that guy will cost too much. This maybe moves Henry to safety if we can't fit Hamlin in.

I would dearly love to get Mcfadden. But that is almost 100% out of the question.

Draft

22 - Felix Jones - if he is here I would not hesitate. The guy can bring speed and his returns will be something we don't see much around here.

If I got the two free agents and signed Barber, I would maybe consider trading out of the first. (Write this down. I seldom ever see any wisdom in this)

If we could come away with multiple seconds and thirds, I would be looking for WR, NT and CB's on the first day.
You're the first person to think about trading out of the first and adding a 2nd and 3rd. I think we could definitely look to do that. I'd do it with either the 22nd or the 28th pick if it meant adding one more prospect for the depth because quite frankly, very few changes this off season are going to affect starters.

Nice plan Ishmael. Great to see you around these parts. Drop in more often huh?

great corners are one of the hardest positions to secure........we arent letting Newman go....

he aint a ball hawk because with all the real deficiencies in our secondary other team dont attack his side...why throw at T-New when you can hit Roy Willy and Reeves all day with no fear

Did you see the same games I saw all season? TNew got toasted as much as anyone else when they threw on him. I like him and all but he is not Deion (Or even close).

I think you and I were watching totally different games. The only one he got 'toasted in' was by Steve Smith in Carolina when he was hurt during the game.
