A complimentary back to Barber Can be found at later rounds. Giants got Bradshaw in the 7th. Greenbay has a bunch of free agents. A wide reciever rarely Has a impact their first two years. I think two CB's will be drafted in the first round. 1st reason Hamlin won't be resigned. I want him back but his price will be too high. 2nd Newman won't be resigned next year and Henry should be a FS.

i hope we draft a cb in round 1 and trade our other 1st round pick either for a fa or a low 2nd round pick. than i hope we grab a rb and cromartie in the second round.

EDIT: were not gonna lose those 2 players than move a slow 32 turning 33 year old cb to fs.

You actually think they're letting Newman go? Hmmm...I just don't see that happening, at all.

The rest of it...meh. I can make a case for agreeing with you on it and just as easily make a case for why I don't agree with it.

I believe his insight on Newman about as much as I believe the insight of the crackhead that lives two blocks over.

great corners are one of the hardest positions to secure........we arent letting Newman go....

he aint a ball hawk because with all the real deficiencies in our secondary other team dont attack his side...why throw at T-New when you can hit Roy Willy and Reeves all day with no fear

And I hate to burst your bubble, but there wasn't a word of original thought in your post. This has all been said many, many times.

Great corners make you pay when you do go to their side.. Deon, Champ and now Asante. Sure they get burned time to time but they actually fight for the ball when it is in the air. I rather pay Asante 90 mil today than Newman 80 mil next year. Just one mans opinion.

In other news, I hear Chuck Norris is suing *yspace for taking the name for everything that surrounds him.

I hear people that google "find chuck norris" don't live to see the next sunrise.

Ok. I'm done.

Your high! Why would we draft a DB only to let a tested veteran go? That makes no sence!

thank you vinny i have been saying htis since the end of the season. a CB could step in an have an effect. There is no randymoss type receiver in this draft. a wr would be of little help if drafted. we'd be much better off trading one of the picks for say CJ or maybe Roy williams. hell even javon walker would have more of an impact than any rookie wr this year. sorry dudes.

upon reading your post again. there is no way we let newman go. he is becoming a fan favorite and can shut down nearly any wr. he will be key to any 'run " we make

Alot of people are beating you up on this one because they can't see through their blue and silver glasses, but I think you are dead on.

I think Jerry may be thinking this way and here's why........... Asante and Tnew are going to want very similar money. One is 3 years younger though. 3 years when you are signing someone to a longterm deal is HUGE !!!

Asante is 26 now, TNew is 29, You sign Asante to a 6 year deal, he is 32 when the contract is over. You sign TNew to a 6 year deal NEXT YEAR, and he is 36 when its over. How many corners you know in this league who are 36 years old? Its not feasable people.

Look here............ Sign Asante this year, he can play with Tnew for one year. Next year when Tnew is a FA, let him go. You get the advantage of letting them play together for one year, and they should dominate. After that, you still have one great corner. Asante. The guy you draft this year will be ready to step in full time after a year in the nickel.

Its just good business, and don't think the Jones's haven't thought of it.

asante gets int's because teams HAVE to pass on the pats. lets see what he does on a dif team.

Seriously, i'd take Newman over Asante any day.

The eagirls did it twice. Bobby Taylor and Johnny Dawkins. Brought in Shelden Brown and Lito Sheppard. NE let Ty Law walk and Drafted Samuels.
