Have we become so used to Jerry that anytime he does bare minimum we praise him?

That is the point im making and people dont get it.
I think most of us get it. We just see it as a positive change in direction, over two seasons now and that the FO is functioning much more like a legitimate FO.

Trust me, I feel a little dirty throwing out phrases like positive change and legitimate FO after what we've seen in the past but I can acknowledge that 25-26 has been much different than years where the bare minimum was actually done when there was real potential for a run with some good GM'ing to fill the gaps.

I think some people get it, they just try to look past it,
Maybe if they can’t control it, they don’t worry about it
Everybody has a different point of view, the world will be boring without it

Genuinely curious, and this isnt to spark an angry debate.

This is a genuine question from someone that has seen this happen time and time again and wants to gauge why this happens here all the time.

Have we as a fanbase, become so used to Jerry and his family failing, that any time he does the BARE MINIMUM of his job description, we praise him for it?

Are we this conditioned by his terrible off-seasons that when he does literally the bare minimum of signing a guy on time or using FA the way everyone else does we celebrate it like we just won our 6th?

Why do fans who are justifiably upset and taking a wait and see approach ostracized so much on this site?

I am excited about the moves that were made, but I am cautiously optimistic mainly because I have 0 faith in the head coach of this team.

Can they prove me wrong, of course, and I will be the first to admit it, but can we stop praising people for showing up to work?
Yes. Next question.

Jerry should never get credit. For anything. He has been a disaster and is a terrible guy.

Yeah...like exactly how long I've been a fan. I've forgotten! I just know more than 50...but who's countin' after THAT long anyway!. Doesn't matter.
I’m 72, I’ve trained my entire life, before, and after the military, I keep myself in decent shape
So since I was 10 years old, I was first to Green Bay fan at 12 became cowboy fan,

You must have missed all of the threads talking about "HES CHANGED"
There were not that many threads. And then they were taken over.

I am not a fan of this FO, but I do not hate on them either.

But Jerry has taken a step back and has kept pretty quiet this entire off season (so far).
I don't take that as he has changed. He has just been quiet about it all. Seems he is letting the coaches coach, selecting their own assistant coaches. Listening to them more about player acquisitions.

But lets see how that translates into wins.

You know what dude I am not arguing with you.

Bare minimum to you and to me mean 2 different things. They had a competent offseason and yall act like its some way above the bare minimum thing.

This team did what ANY FUNCTIONAL team does in the NFL. For the first time in YEARS.

Now you act like its above the bare minimum. Its not. And you cant see it, and that is fine.

So it’s two different things, when it pertains to you
I get it now, yes, this is a new discussion lol

How about being able to admit when he’s actually doing a good job?

Or if it makes them feel better give credit to Shotty or McClay or Stephen. But one thing no one can say is they have had a solid offseason and this is what we’ve been asking for. I don’t need to trade 2 1sts for Garrett or spend money. All I ask is use your resources and wisely. Kenneth Murray and Peyton Turner is a joke.

How do you feel about Bobby Wagner, $4 million a year, do you think we need him?

I have no use for putting Jerry - or anyone else - in a no- win situation where everything that goes wrong is their fault, but when good things happen, they get no credit.

There’s a lot of pieces to the puzzle, that’s why it takes an entire organization, including the Waterboy, to win the big one
I’ll keep watching. I’ll keep waiting.

I think Barham’s emergence has made that a moot point.
I’m neutral, we do need role players, back up, in case the starter goes down, but that starter money that’s not back up money I don’t think

Just like football, competition shows up, you have a real game, some stay, and some sit on the bench
I love cowboy fan , yes, fan forum
Where everybody is a fan.
