Heath Ledger found dead

A brilliant actor. He was one of handful of young actors that had talent and could actually act.

really enjoyed his work in the patriot..

great movie by the way.

it's sad this is what people will remember him for most.

10 things i hate about you
a knights tale
the new batman movie

he's done a lot more than that but everyone has to suddenly get "gay" and focus on that.

he will be missed. good actor and great guy.

great guy? um ok..........great guys dont kill themselves with drugs. great guys dont leave their little children fatherless. He is a complete and total wanker.

He was a good actor.......just another in a long line of celebrity overdoses......quite pathetic really.

who said he purposely committed suicide? who said he even committed suicide? there are reports now that he pneumonia.

just wait until all the facts are known before making baseless assumptions.

From an acting standpoint....I will go out on a limb and say that he was his generations Mel Gibson.....both are from Australia, both hugely popular with the ladies.....both very good actors.

At least Mel was wise enough to straighten himself out, although religiously he is a bit out there.....

suicide isn't always planned....sometimes it accidentally happens.......

Len Bias committed suicide when he snorted coke and died. He didn't plan it, he wasn't looking to die. However, he took his own life when he snorted that expensive white powder that day. Anytime you are doing drugs without being forced to and you overdose and die, it is suicide.....planned or accidental......

This could be like when TO overdosed accidentally last year (only this was fatal). Who knows. My point is that you are rushing to judgement when all the facts are not known.

That's really a shame. He was a fine young actor...

Now word yet as to what happened...

I wonder how the affects the new Batman movie?

It's in post. Heath's been done with TDK for quite a while. The thing is that his performance is unbelievable and I think The Joker plays a role in #3 of Nolan's planned trilogy.

Been covering this since 4 pm.

Thanks man... nice piece there.

That's a bummer that the Joker was planned to have a part in the 3rd installment. Saddens me to think that Ledger won't get to participate in all of the pre-release marketing that was sure to start sometime in the near future, and this could easily be his most successful movie, from what I've heard.

I can't imagine what the film-makers are going through.

So being Catholic is being "out there"?

I don't think he meant his religion as far as Catholicism, but his anti-Semitic rhetoric.

more of him being somewhat of an extremist.....I have no problem with most Catholics, just the extremists.

I have no problem with Muslims....just the extremists.

honestly, extremists of any type scare me (religion, education, politics, law, etc.). They tend to go way over the top..........
