Wow.. I just got home from work and heard about Heath Ledger. Very shocking. He was a great actor and so young. Even though I didn't see BBM and don't ever have any plans of doing so, he did well enough in it to get a Oscar nod. I thought he was fantastic in The Patriot and he was sure a little hottie. Really sad. My heart goes out to his little girl.

if this had happened to Britney Spears or lil miss Hilton. I would have had some of the same thoughts that you posted. However I would have kept them to myself out of respect for the dead. You don't have to have respect for the person to be respectful of the situation. It was just plain tacky

britney spears is scum IMO.....i could care less about that chick.......Now I will say this....if she is as psycho and whacked out as all the media makes her out to be....I want those kids as far away from her as possible. Unfortunately, she could be the worst mother in the world and the courts would never take those kids from her......but let a decent mother, let her kid get a tiny booboo, and CPS is knocking down her door to take the kid away......I see it all the time and the system disgusts me.

What if it were an accident? If he does have pneumonia and took the wrong pills causing a bad reaction. That would just be an accident. Not a planned suicide or an attempt to get high gone bad. Just an accident. Suddenly you don't care either way and he is still a wanker?

If that is not a rush to judgment, I don't know what is.

There are some great people out there that are troubled. They are nice to everyone, care about everyone, go out of their way for everyone, but for some reason or another are internally troubled. They may attempt/commit suicide. That doesn't make them not a great person. Just someone who is too far troubled to find another way to deal with things.

There is a difference between occasionally saying something and knowing it is wrong AND what you said which is that since you aren't Jewish or Muslim you have no problem with hate speech directed toward people of those faiths.

I watched the dark knight trailer again yesterday in hd on the site and man ledger looks and sounds awesome as the joker, that movie is going to be great. The post production team must have a difficult job ahead of them now.

But I really have never heard of HL, nor did I recognize his picture.

I do remember when there was a big stink about BBM a while back.

Also, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN was a hell of a film. Most people who diss it have never seen it and/or can't get past the homosexual element. Which, by the way, really has NOTHING to do with overall tone/message of the film.

Heath's performance in that film was fantastic. Anyway...

I talked to Chris Nolan's camp today and they are just in a state of "***?!" and hurt. Post will go on, but yeah, it's got to be tough as hell.

Also, all the marketing has been around The Joker and it's been rather ghoulish. I don't know what's going to happen with that now.

Man, this reeks of James Dean/GIANT doesn't it?

BTW, I've seen more of Heath in TDK that's been released, and he is UNBELIVEABLE as The Joker. Oscar worth they are saying.
