That is why the depths of Romo's performance that day was so bad....but Romo became the best player on the field by end of game... almost like they plucked a fan out the stands to start and by 4th QTR turned into Marino
Romo was awful for 55 minutes, but in the last five minutes he was brilliant but all he had to do was get us in position to kick the game winner. We needed a TD last night and were down to one play. Not to mention, Dak saved the game a play earlier by recovering Dowdle’s fumble. His performance on the final drive completely destroyed all the haters claims that he’s a choker.

Buffalo sucked in 2007. The Cowboys were heavily favored to win that game. This game was totally different. We were playing a 3-1 Steelers team and were underdogs and hardly anyone was picking us to win the game. We were a complete mash unit last night and still found a way to win. This was one of the most gutsy performances I’ve seen by the Cowboys in years. We’ll see if they can build off it. This was the most resilient performance I’ve seen by Dak.
Im 50 miles out of Buffalo. It was HUGE deal here them just being in Primetime. And that they were very competitive against a top team was their Super Bowl.

They got flexed to Sunday Night game later in the year against NE and got throughly dismantled lol. I want to say NE grilled them into a tasty 50 burger

  :hammer::hammer:some of his critics wanna only about his turnovers. Nevermind he overcame the choking issue they are quick to bring up and yes I understand its only one game.

The ones who hate him and have an agenda are only focusing on the turnovers. None of those so-called fans are happy with the win because Dak made them look bad. They don’t want him to have success. They were continuing to complain about him after the game. They should go find another team to support. This game was also a big blow to those who want the team to tank.

For one game. If we lose the next one because our offense fails to get it done late, those claims will return.

I really hate that we give the QB so much credit and blame. Dak came up big with the game on the line, but so did Tolbert, the offensive line and Dowdle (other than the fumble), along with other offensive players. You don't win if your line can't protect the QB when you have to drive for a last-minute score. You don't win if the passes are dropped (and we've seen that before). It was a good final drive by our offense, including the player at the most important position, the QB.

This game was nowhere near romo’s 07 game against the bills

Romo was outright putrid throwing 5 picks

Daks game last night was just a soso performance with him gutting it out at the end, something you see Mahomes do and Manning and Brady did it plenty of times

A gusty win

But that 07 bills game was disgusting qb play
Yeah and against a worse team. I was still pumped when we came back though lol.

Last night, that Tolbert TD had me as hyped as I've been all year. It was pretty sweet after watching them get away with crap the whole 4th quarter.

Unfortunately he plays like Tony Romo in the playoffs too ....... maybe that will change?
Romo has a great 4 to 1 TD/int ratio in the playoffs
Had last minute game-winning drive in one win
Had 2 losses where he also had should-have-been game-winning perfect passes in late 4th qtr either "dropped" (Dez) or busted route (Crayton)
He DID show up in the playoffs more often than not.

The claims will always return when we lose. The claims were still going on after the game. Some fans have an agenda and aren’t going to move on from it. I saw fans continuing to bash him after the game. There were fans that weren’t happy with the win because when the game was on the line Dak got it done. Most of those fans are no-shows today. Some can only view the board and can’t post because all they do is come here to bash him and attack other fans.

It’s a sad state of affairs when we are comparing one average QB to another average QB for what this organization has accomplished the last 28 years. Pathetic!

I don't worry too much about all of that. Some fans have players they dislike and they are always going to talk bad about them. I don't think that should make those of us who are more rational resort to saying things like his performance "completely destroyed all haters claims that he's a choker." That's overstating it IMO.

Some of you get provoked into overreactions. It was a great end-of-game performance by a lot of players, including Dak. Can't we leave it at that?

Romo showing grit, heart, and determination is not mutually exclusive with him sucking that night with a terrible game overall.
Same as with Dak showing grit, heart, and determination is not mutually exclusive with him really hurting the team with multiple terrible turnovers the rest of the game.

Yeah, the thing I remember about that '07 game was that ...we were 4-0 entering that game and I thought that "rookie Romo" would always emulated Favre had worked out his yips...particularly since he fumbled the snap.

What that game showed was that once Romo threw you 1 INT, he was liable to keep throwing them. It also showed that once something got in his head...you could get to him. Opposing teams never forgot that.

I think it was Nick Folk who saved Romo's rear end that game.
