I think either way. When we lose, fans look for a scapegoat, and it's often the QB because he's playing the most important position on offense. A good example of this IMO is Romo's playoff record, which is brought up to diss him as a QB. No one takes into account that he threw a perfect ball to Dez Bryant in the fourth quarter against Green Bay that Bryant didn't control through contact with the ground. (And yes, we can argue that it was a catch, but that doesn't matter.) Maybe we lose that game anyway, but Romo led a comeback, threw the ball where it needed to be and the receiver tried too hard to make a TD and lost control of it. (Same issue to an extent with Crayton dropping a perfect pass and then not taking his route in the end zone where it was expected to go against the Giants in 2007. Instead of a comeback win, you have another loss that is counted against the QB.)

I've said before that I think won-lost records are a terrible way to judge a quarterback because it makes it seem like they are solely responsible for either. You never hear any say of a running back, "He has 10,000 yards for his career, but he never made it past the divisional round of the playoffs. His won-loss record is only average."

I mean, Tyron Smith is a future Hall of Famer, but you don't hear anyone say, "but look at his won-loss record ... I don't know if he's worthy."
Marino never won a super bowl.

Does ANYONE ever say his team mates never did?

Yes...very well said.

The problem is agenda-driven people use certain stats and certain arguments to GOD DAM prove their points...get in fights and then blame others for exposing flaws.

You can see them use wins to credit a player and use losses to blame everyone else but that player. It's nuts.

I have said many times...people credit Marino for never winning super bowl but NEVER....anyone else on that team. It's a double edged sword...to be used as suits your agenda.

Humans will human 'till their dying day.

These guys just can't get over their Romo Derangement Syndrome.

If Dak's resume could stand on its own, they wouldn't have to constantly conjure up negative Romo vibes to prop him up.

Kinda sad.

Cooperesque.........you remind me of "Oswald Bates" from " In Loving Color" that tried to use big words but constantly mangled their pronunciation and meaning .

Look it up, lol

You really do entertain us.
We know he meant to type ‘Cooperesque’ - I suppose you never noticed the close proximity of the ‘e’ and ‘r’ keys? Now keep working your beat, Officer Spelling.

I'm just happy to see Dak throw a game winner in the last minute. Can you even remember the last time he did that?
He never does, the 2:00 minute drill is one of the knocks against him, always comes up short,,, except last night!! Nice to see a running game out there too.

Guess which QB owns most of the team’s All-Time Passing records? I’ll give you one hint … it ISN’T Dak Prescott.
Good for Romo......neither has gone far in the playoffs....not fan of either

Both of Dak’s picks were terrible looks/throws and Romo’s were because guys ran the wrong routes.

Didn't Romo have 6 turnovers that game? I still remember what a crazy ending that game had.

This means zero. Any modern QB who plays long enough for their teams are going to hold the franchise record. Football today is totally different than back in the day. Guess which QB actually wins when it matters come playoff time? Absolutely isn't Romo. Romo threw 50 times a game often. Many times while trailing because of his own bad play.

The one thing stats don't show, and the reason people are happy and surprised about last night's win is because Dak doesn't do this. On win, tie or lose final drives needing a TD, and actually getting one doesn't happen often with this team. We came to expect it from Romo.

I've been watching the Cowboys for 30 years so I'm not just looking at stats but I do hear you that they don't tell the whole story. But having seen all the Romo years I know the story and the stats just back it up. Romo had 29 game winning drives, Dak has 23. They each have 1 playoff game winning drive.

The narrative that Dak is not good and Romo is better just isn't true. Its just the biased/hate that Dak has to deal with for whatever reason. The hate should be aimed squarely at the owner/GM for failing to put a winning roster/coaching staff together for close to 28+ years.

Didn’t end up with a heart breaking, self induced loss. So not even close to a Romo performance.
