Henson Era Over!

Well, wherever he ends up...good luck to him. He never had a chance here...

Can't say I'm too disapointed.. think the emergence of Romo may have a lot to do with Henson wanting out.

Agreed. It's obvious who the desired QB of the future is at this point.

I can't say I blame Henson for wanting out. That decision suits all parties.

I bet a trade is in the works. They asked him if his scrimmage performance didn't count for anything. He said he would talked about Henson when everything is over. I promise you.

I take it a trade is in the works.

How can you say that?

He's had a chance to compete in most every practice since he's gotten here. He's just been beaten out for the backup job, the starting job, and the quarterback-of-the-future label.

These coaches have seen him every day in practice. And the media has seen him every day at camp. Yet you don't hear many people saying he's been treated unfairly or is lower on the depth chart than his performances in practice would justify.

I agree Dale. I always liked the guy but it's probably best for all parties. He was never going to get an opoporunity here so better for him to make his own way in the NFL. Better for us to move on with whatever plan we have for QB.

Some very deserved crow will be doled out to some know it alls that thought Henson was a Lock for the roster and maybe even the future of the Cowboys:lmao2: . Guess those folks don't read tea leaves very well?

I just hope we can get something decent for him. Hate wasting that third-round pick, especially on the heels of releasing a former third-rounder.

Charles is gonna be unbearable. ;)

Agreed. I just don't know why BP agreed to sign him in the first place.

I thought the baseball trading deadline had already passed ....

Said he would talk about it after it's over, because he "didn't want to hurt the player (Henson)".

Should be an interesting discussion.

Sad day for me, but it's time we move on and all get behind all the players on the roster.

I wish Henson the best, I just hope he doesn't end up with a rival one day.

As angry as Parcells sounded about him, it almost makes you think they had a blow-up of some kind.

His 'demotion' from the roster almost sounded like a parent punishing his child.

'Oh, he's going to school today!, but he's not playing at recess...'

I don't understand how people feel bad for the
guy.He has received millions from 2 different sports
franchises, and has produced zero results.Good luck
to him,but i do feel he's been here awhile,and just didn't
do it.

Same reason you sign any other player, you think the player has potential. Chances are Henson will get another opportunity

I hate the fact we lost out on a third rounder, but Chief you need some butter coz you're on a roll. :laugh2:

No, in the Little League buy rules, you can trade players at any point in the season, so long as there parents sign off on the deal.

I too would be angry at a guy who we spent a 3rd round pick on and are about to lose millions to the cap for. Potential, but never able to get it together.
