despite the sarcasm, I agree on Mroz. He could be a diamond in the rough, kind of like Romo :D

This Mroz kid is a straight Baller! He was a regular 'Captain Comeback' during his hayday at Yale lighting up the Ivy League like the 4th of July:

"Just give him the ball. Jeff Mroz will find a way to get the job done"

The more I read about this kid the more I see Drew Bledsoe Version 2.0 written all over him!

The Answer agrees, this Henson debate has reached epic proportions and it's quite unnecessary. We have our starter and back up with Bledsoe and the stallion, the 3rd qb is an irrelevant debate at this point and time.

The question at this point is to flame or not to flame? Please choose wisely...

I'm serious when I say that if you allow people like Nors to come back on here just using a different name, aka "the Answer", why ban them in the first place?

It isn't Nors. Hope that answers the question, pardon the pun.

Why is everyone hugging up on Mroz's nuts now? He wasn't even going to have the starter job at Yale, that is why he took his hiatous into the "business world".

Drew Bledsoe 2.0?? The kid didn't even get drafted. :bang2: :banghead: :bang2: :banghead:

The Answer doesn't think that Henson would have been the NFLE candidate, nor was he in the running for such a distinction. Henson was/is only the 3rd or 4th best QB in NFLE. Hamdan and Ochs have been far superior and they don't have a realistic chance of making thier respective NFL team's roster. This Campbell kid from Berlin has looked pretty impressive as well, he might have a chance to make the Browns since they are still rebuilding.

Ochs has a nearly identical passer rating in far fewer attempts -- Hamdan is out for the remainder of the season. There is no way you can call Campbell impressive and not say the same about Henson.

Henson was 3rd or 4th best statistically -- but as others have pointed out over and over, he has been victimized by dropped passes -- in one game I counted 7 legit drops. His receivers learn to catch and he's got far far better #s.

Before he was hurt, the Fire were 5-2 and had defeated every team save for the Admirals (who are clearly the league's best). Since his injury 0-2. Before he was hurt he looked to be leading the Fire to a World Bowl berth. Now they are pretty much out of it. Starting QB on a World Bowl team? That's an MVP candidate.

World League MVP candidate doesn't mean much -- but it does say he's played well at that level.

I compare him to Bledsoe because Mroz is a big boy, not the most mobile QB, has a rocket launcher arm, and is noted for his amazing 4th quarter comebacks.....very similar to our starting QB's key characteristics. Plus Chris Palmer has worked out with him and was the coach that helped Bledsoe develop in his early years with the pats.

Also being a fellow member of the 'business world', The Answer admires an intelligent young Ivy League prospect like Mroz. Not many pro athletes can pass their wonderlic test, let alone negotiate complex business deals with C-Level executives...this kid is quite something!

So the fact that he wasn't even going to be the starter, which was the deciding factor in Mroz' decision to enter the "business world", means nothing to you? He couldn't even hold down the role on the Yale team, which isn't exactly a football powerhouse. Now you want to compare him to Drew Bledsoe who has thrown for over 40,000 yards in the NFL? You are really reaching here, and frankly it is silly.

P.S. Get over yourself and the third person self references... It's impossible to take anything you post seriously, this isn't the WWE.

That's the key right there.....Henson couldn't even beat the NFLE's best team and was swept by them. In fact I remember in one of the games he choked at the end of the game and turned the ball over. So how on earth is he going to be the NFC East's best? The NFL is an entirely different animal than the european league. And even Bledsoe was humbled on the road against Washington and New York so just picture Henson out there trying to get it done in hostile and uncompromising environments like the meadowlands and Fedex field.....I can tell you it wouldn't be pretty.

Yale is far from an NCAA powerhouse, but there's no question that Mroz will go down as an Ivy League legend. He has a long way to with his development, but in comparing him to Bledsoe....The Answer was merely making a generalization based on his physical tools and attributes.

Romo and Henson might be safe this year, but in 2007 look out!

An Ivy League legend?? HE COULDN'T KEEP THE JOB. Hate to resort to caps, but you are not addressing that small fact.

Screw the info coming from the team. It just amazes me.

What Info coming from the team? The article came from the teams website but Nick Eatman didn't quote any source from within the Cowboys organization and it seems like he hasn't watch many of his games if he believes he had a subpar season the only thing I have seen coming from the Cowboy staff is from Parcells and that was neither a glowing endorsement or an indictment against Henson... Henson will get his chance in TC to show if his experience in NFLE has done him any good. As long as he is here I’ll be pulling for him.
