Here is why I don't put much stock in pressure stats

I just hate the stat period ...... its like if you almost catch a pass or you almost make a tackle .......

Never heard of the stat as if is was something great, until people were trying to defend Randy Gregory.

I don’t think there is anything great about the stat in isolation. And the stats we see are just to appease the public. They are not what the teams are using.

There is a ton of AI that has been incorporated into the NFL. Players are wearing chips to capture all kinds of analytics. Microsoft just agreed to a multiyear extension with the NFL to expand real-time data and analytics to the sidelines using their AI platforms. They also said their AI will be used for player scouting and salary cap management.

If you watch Thursday night football, you get a glimpse of some of the AI technologies used to track players, provide defensive alerts, pressure alerts, defensive vulnerabilities, receiver receptions odds, and on and on. And that is just for the viewer and is provided through the use of machine learning and machine logic.
