Another saga for the daily soap opera.....about predictable as "Sue Ann" sleeping her way to the top or on her fifth divorce.

Denver made Wilson a post June 1 cut. They had to eat like 85 million in dead money over two years.

If the Cowboys make Dak a June 1 cut, they’d have to eat 150 million in dead money.

So no, not comparable at all.
it's comparable that they took a "hit" sheesh, I don't care the dollar size, i'm focusing on the aspect that they took a hit. It's a huge hit we realize that!!

There are probably 15 to 20 teams Dak would love to go to, but finding one that wants him with that contract is highly unlikely.

You guys keep flailing around with bad ideas.

Sure, get rid of a known good QB for...a reach QB in a horrible draft for QBs. Torpedo the morale in the locker room by benching the guy they support and cripple your cap for years.

You're a born GM, really.

Worrying about getting dak to revert his no-trade clause, is like worrying about buying a bathing suit for a rock.

Rocks aren't going to swim no matter what you do. And no other team is going to trade for Dak, regardless of the clause....with the SLIGHT exception, that if WE offered a team multiple 1st round picks to take Dak off our hands, a really crappy team like the Panthers or Jets or Browns might agree to that just to get picks for a rebuild

Now see, you bring facts to the thread.

That doesn't happen enough around here.:muttley:

So ignore all the other holes on team then? nah... I could see them drafting a qb, if Dak was the only issue on a stacked team.

You draft a quarterback in the first round and you bench Dak.

It's pretty simple. I know the Jonses don't want to do that because it would imply they made a mistake, but knowing Dak, he's too proud to sit on the bench. He will eventually succumb to the fact that his career in Dallas is over. The NFL is a cold hearted business but the fact is Dak is one of the reasons this organization is in shambles.

1. Hire a head coach with a backbone

2. Empower that head coach

3. Draft a quarterback in the first round and move on.
OK so you bring in PRIME he's going to draft Shruder, because Mike has left will sign with New Orleans and Dak waves trade clause and you send Dak to NO for next 2 1st round picks. Dak is from Lousiana Mike Coached there its a Win win. Prime gets to keep coaching his son

A good QB? Are you blind? Torpedo the locker room? You actually think everyone in that locker room loves Dak and the way he plays QB, much less the money he makes while they eat bologna?

Go back to sleep and dream another story.

103 cap hit if traded pre June 1st. lol

42 dead this year, 61 mil dead next year if after June 1st.

Problem is even if he did drop the NTC, what team would want him/could make it work? His deal can be modified by the new team, but it's not like he's coming off a good year but needs a fresh start.
Vikings maybe. Aside from that I doubt anyone would bite.

Getting Dak to remove this no-trade clause isn't the problem. The real problem is trying to find a team that is willing to take on that insane contract. No way it's going to happen and drafting a guy now is simply going to waste 3 of the 4 years of his rookie contract fielding a horrible team because of Dak's albatross contract killing the team.

ok well in some trades the trading team takes on a lot of the money to make the trade go through easier, we can take most of the hit making it lower for the opposing team, and boom he's gone!!!!!!!!!!!
