It's a safe bet. Jerry wouldn't trade Dak if he could. What team wants a broken down QB that doesn't show up in the playoffs and with the biggest contract in the NFL?
How many teams that need a quarterback are in a position to take on that contract? Dak would probably love to be traded. He and Jerry have painted themselves into a corner. They are stuck with each other now.

Dak is an injury prone QB with a huge contract. He wont be traded. No team would take on that contract. There are other QBs that will be on the market for any team looking. It would be better for a team to look to the draft or FA than trading for a injury prone QB. Dak likes being the QB for the Cowboys. That's one of the reasons he has a no trade clause.

Prescott is 25 tears younger, taller, and outweighs Sanders by more than 50 lbs. Sanders would mind his tone around Dak or be picking his old *** up off the floor.

You draft a quarterback in the first round and you bench Dak.

It's pretty simple. I know the Jonses don't want to do that because it would imply they made a mistake, but knowing Dak, he's too proud to sit on the bench. He will eventually succumb to the fact that his career in Dallas is over. The NFL is a cold hearted business but the fact is Dak is one of the reasons this organization is in shambles.

1. Hire a head coach with a backbone

2. Empower that head coach

3. Draft a quarterback in the first round and move on.
i think your plan will falter because of one thing: Dak is not proud.

If he has to warm the bench the guy will rent a camera man who has to film him during games. he will place those bottles he had in the vip lounge in front of him making money thru ads.

the guy doesnt care at all. Only money makes him go.

They either need to find a Trade partner after this year for Dak or re-structure his contract and the Cowboys are stuck with him till end of 2027. His 2026 cap hit is bad, and actually worse than eating the dead cap after 2025 season.

The Jones family really got the OP right where they wants them, blaming the players. Dak isn't the problem with this franchise. Ain't nobody going to overcome the culture of this organization and how they do business.

Love the thinking....but honestly burning a #1 on a guy is a waste right now. It's just gonna take too much to trade up and get Sheduer...or Ward. And really....are they gonna be that much better than what you got? You honestly gotta weigh the cost benefits...and I just don't see it.

No team would trade for a broken qb with an inflated contract that hasn't even kicked in yet.
:hammer: ....Honestly....Only way I see this working out is if he can't pass the Cowboys physical....and he's forced into retirement. Then the question is
...How does that money breakdown?

Good question. I think they're on the hook just like Cleveland is with Watson.

I think even an idiot like Deion Sanders would know better than to get into the wheelhouse of a $60 million a year quarterback younger and much bigger than he is. Learn to be a head coach of an NFL team in 2025 or keep your pathetic rear end in the Big 12. Sanders is a little man. Prescott is big one. If Sanders doesn’t like it, try to beat Kansas, or Texas Tech. Show Colorado fans more than your kid and sunglasses. Lose the ridiculous hat. Halloween is one day a year.

Did anyone see Jimmy Johnsons take on the dak contract? " would not have signed him and made him play out the last year of contract. " Jerry did not have to sign him let alone make him the highest paid player in the history of the NFL. Yoda has defiantly lost his mind and cost this franchise more miserable years with dak.
