I challenged you to show me where "Most" scouting reports rated Campbell ahead of Rodgers. You quickly shifted to "some circles" having him ahead.

So, I asked for you to prove those "some circles."

The Commanders took some grief for how much they paid to draft Campbell. Many of their fans were even negative about it. Put yourself in the Commanders PR man's position, would you put out a report that was anything but glowing given the fan displeasure? Be honest.

Also, these reports are from mini camps, not actual Training Camps or work with pads. It will take more than these to convince me of anything. Especially since I never called you on this in the first place. I called you on your inaccurate statement that Campbell was rated ahead of Rodgers on "most" scouting reports. That is 100% false.

For the record, I never said Rodgers was going to be a better QB than Jason Campbell. (I'm not exactly sure why I should care which one turns out better. Last I checked we didn't draft either one of them and had 2 chances at each.) If you choose to believe I think that without asking me, be my guest.

You should care about Campbell, because he is in our division and we'll be facing him twice a year. Many hear continually mock Campbell's being drafted in the first instead of in the lower rounds,but at the Senior bowl, all the scouts were convinced he was the best qb there. Obviously since Rogers is a Junior he wasn't there, so you can't compare them head to head, but you can compare the experience of the two qb's;you can compare the conferences they've played in. I haven't had the time to research where I saw the assessment of Campbell as being worthy of a high draft, but I will find it soon.

I don't remember saying it that strongly, but, think about it, Carter didn't get signed by the Jets until a week before the season started and yet he helped them win games. Training camp is still a month away. Everyone knows that who's on a roster now will be very different from the final rosters. Heck, Hutch didn't get signed by the Bears until two months into last season, and he got significant playing time. Much too early to crow my friend. It's going to be a long season.

Not a Commander fan, but a fan of Carlos Rodgers and Jason Campbell. I just wish they were on our roster instead of who we have at their positions.

Rodgers was considered a mid first round guy. Campbell a 2nd round guy.
Either could ultimately be better. My guess is Rodgers will be because he is not surrounded by "real men of genius" in WAsh.

I was pretty impressed with Santana Moss last year when he had Carter throwing to him. He put up top 5 receiver numbers during that period. I believe that Campbell has similar skills to Carter, but is more advanced as a rookie. Couple Campbell's athleticism, experience and maturity and with Joe Gibb's reputation,plus Clinton Portis skills, not to mention Rod Gardner= a young Keyshawn and Taylor Jacobs and Chris Cooley=Jason Witten and a healthier offensive line, I believe their on to something, despite Snyder. I hated George Allen, but I've always respected Gibbs. Class person, great coach, even if he is a Commander.

I am a 40+ year fan, who believes that we've hitched our wagon to fossill. I like some of our defensive moves and don't like others. I don't like our qb's, think our wide outs are too old and we don't have a right tackle. Other than that, we're doing great.

I like Campbell but Washington made a poor trade. I wouldn't have done that for any QB in this Draft Class and certainly not as early as they did it to tip their hand. If they had held their picks they likely get him anyway. Like I said, we passed on him twice. If he was that good I doubt we would have no matter how much they want to see from Romo and Henson.
