Let's see...

We've now had 3 coaches each treat TO differently and none have worked out...

One's kissed his arse...

One's tried to be his friend...

And one ignores him...

Hmmm...

I fail to see the common thread here...(sarcasm)...

Me neither.

I can't wait for his book to come so he can share his theory on why it didn't work out in Dallas. Maybe something someone did in the lockerroom sparked up old childhood memories. Maybe everytime he doesn't get enough balls thrown his way, his abandonment issues rear their ugly head.

or maybe he's still on the team, his time in Dallas is working out to the tune of leading the league in touchdown receptions, and we're going to the playoffs

Now show the stats he's put up on those teams and also ask the coaches, specifically Maricucci, what they think of his ability on the field.

Then go back to your deconstruction of his personality because we all know choir boys win championships.

Personally, I think BP leaves after the season. He looked beat after the first Giants game. Then after our little resurgence it appeared he gained new life and I felt he'd come back and see it through.
But now, 2 of the last 3 games he's had that same beaten down look like he did a couple of months ago. Unless we make some kind of miracle run deep into the playoffs and show we've turned the corner, I think he's a goner, on his own.

That leaves TO, who with BP out of the scene, I'm sure JJ will definitely bring him back. Positive or negative, he's always in the news and JJ loves to sell tickets and merchandise. The thing about it is, most felt TO would be on his best behavior this first year. To an extent he has tried, but he has still been a big distraction. But if he's back next season and with a new HC, I think the honeymoon will be over and he'll have a new guy to test and tempt at every turn.

With TO, it always ends bad. I was for the signing because I thought he'd try this first season to prove the critics wrong and he could really help us if he put forth the effort. But if he's back next season, I think things can really get ugly.

Don't forget to add healed hand, finger to the mix as well if he returns next year. Oh, and to please the haters, there has to be a reference to the drop stat.

No one should be shocked by anything he says or does...

On the field, one of the best receivers in the game...even with a torn tendon or whatever...

Off the field, he's a headcase...

People need to stop making excuses for him and, conversely, stop demanding he be kicked off the team...

He's on the team, we're going to the playoffs and the last time I checked, that was a GOOD thing...

This whole situation needs to be reevaluated in the off-season and the organization needs to weigh the following:

His stats and threat as a weapon on the field vs. his salary and issues on/off the field...

If one clearly outweighs the other, you have your answer...

TO ability was not good enough where teams were willing to put up with his mouth and his additude. As for being some big time playmaker well he has not produced in the clutch situations and then has the nerve to talk about well I was not involved early enough and now I can't do a damn thing to help my team. Yeah real Professional you are Mr. T

Oh yeah, that did cost us at least one game, and blew any chance we had to comeback against the Giants and Eagles. Good point.

Sounds good...

Last time I checked his ability ON THE FIELD wasn't the issue...

What teams in their right mind would get rid of one of the most talented receivers in the NFL?...

Oh, wait, 2 did already EVEN THOUGH he was putting up great numbers!...

Stats aren't everything and there's precedence for that in TO's career...

Look at my previous post...These other teams weighed their options and decided that his stats WEREN'T worth the hassle...

Thanks...You just proved my point...

Throw him a quick slant.
Put him in the slot.
Get him the ball earlier than 27 minutes into a statement game.

Do those things and the rest of this garbage fades away. I'm not holding my breath though that our offensive masterminds will somehow manage to use him as he has been used successfully in other sporting venues. Ridiculous. If we were going to simply line the guy up to run fly pattern after fly pattern after fly pattern then why on earth would we even sign him? oh I know why!!! We signed him because he holds great press conferences.

John Madden himself indirectly jabbed Parcells for not moving TO into the slot and give the opposition different looks and do SOMETHING to get TO involved earlier rather than having him run those sideline fly routes while being doubled when clearly his cup of tea is YAC off shorter routes

BAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were other chances we had to win in Washington. But those would've been moot if TO had caught the ball that fell into his hands in the 3rd that would've put us up by 14.

Someone making $25 million should be able to make clutch catches. Or at the very least not league the lead in drops.

Of course since he now has a star on his helmet, some fans are going to act like he's teflon. I'm sure these are the same ones who'd be ripping him a new one if he were still playing for Philly or SF.

And for anyone to suggest that I'm a TO-hater couldn't be more wrong...

I'm a realist and fully understand that you get what you pay for...

For anyone to actually believe his litany of excuses for his play...is a fool...

He talks about being a "man"...yet he blames NOT being in a rythm for his dropped passes...

Interesting, I thought being a "man" meant admitting your mistakes and being a consumate professional ON the field which he portends to be?...

A professional doesn't LOSE focus as the game goes on...

I guess I'm wrong there as well...

Get rid of him as soon as possible, evidently he can't adjust playing in our offense and does not have the ability to make big plays if not involved early which tells me TO takes himself out of the game. We signed him to be a playmaker and he is not and given chances to make the big play in clutch situation he has failed. Instead of blaming the coaches for a change why not place some blame on TO? I know none of you TO fan club members ever blame him for anything, it is always someone else fault. Sorry I'm not a member and I'll put the blame where it belongs in TO hand. Lastly Dallas runs more than fly patterns to TO so stop the exaggeration, that is just another means of taking any blame off of TO

The sad thing about all this is you speak from a position of hate and I speak from a position of support not only for TO but the team as well. I'll keep my nose in his back side though just to keep your belief alive. ;)
