Well, ESPN has been carrying TG's whine since Monday morning. But every single mediot has said he merits a 'pass' for his crying, based on both the quantity of his crying this year and the quality.

I couldnt stand watching all the news after that loss.

No, 'everyone' doesn't get a free pass for blaming coaches.

Just professionals like TG who everyone understands to have had to take a backseat to a legendary blowhard AND baby sit him to boot.

Just class A players like TG who earlier this season, in the wake of his pal Bledsoe's benching, said "coaches get paid to coach, I get paid to play" when the press tried to bait him into critical remarks.

Just Parcells Guys like TG who play on a painful knee and don't whine about it, make excuses for himself after a drop, or continually caterwaul about 'not being involved early or often enough'.

Just consummate pros like TG who play much bigger than their size and have earned the right to occasionally criticize the lack of firepower, and speak for the entire O when doing it.

Those kinds of unselfish, team-dedicated players do indeed draw a pass, from coaches, mediots, and fans alike.

I think it's positive when TG speaks out because he does so so rarely, and when he does, Tuna responds as he did in late 03 by opening things up more.

But a True Defender takes the initiative - the old adage 'the best defense is a good offense' remains true, and I suggest you now switch tactics to ramming Owens' pluses down everyone's throat 20 times in every thread.
