That Glenn isn't as good as Witten at keeping his frustration out of the media?

That next week you might not be saying the same thing about Witten.

A player will say anything before he admits he was outplayed. A coach will say anything before he admits he was outcoached. They'll even turn on each other.

I'm sure everybody has his breaking point. But that point isn't the same for every player. TG's is probably about right. TO's is ridiculous.

The more people we have who point fingers, the more like the Giants we are. Defend that if you want, but to me finger-pointing within the team (to the press) shows a lack of intelligence.

If enough fingers get pointed I would like to believe at least one or two of them are pointed for good reason.

Hey, there's always a reason.

Thing is, you can be a team of character, or just a team of characters.

Well, if you have a team of characters who is to blame? The character or the director?

If a player wants to make a statement, he makes plays. When you have an opportunity in your hands, and let it slip through (literally, figuratively, whatever) you blame the man in the mirror.

What,when,where did TG say???

Here.

"I don't think we're trying to win; no, not on offense," Glenn was quoted Tuesday in the Dallas Morning News. "You have to execute and get everybody involved. I try not to let it get to me. Man, I've been fighting it all year. I'm trying to be a team player, but there's no reason for it. No reason for it.

"I'm not alone. The whole offense is frustrated," Glenn said. "They are looking around saying, 'Why can't we do anything when we have all these weapons?' "

Sorry if I missed a post or something but this thread is too long to go back and re-read carefully.

I just wanted to say in TG and TOs defense that it is tough for a WR to get 1 pass here and then 1 pass a quarter later.

These guys need to get rhythm going and continue it.

Our defense couldnt give our offense enough shots at getting it going and a fumbled kick return didnt help either.

Here comes another 1 of my stupid baseball analogies but did anyone here ever have to pinch hit towards the end of a game after sitting on the bench all day?

It isnt easy. I know from experience.

Well its the same thing for these guys trying to catch a ball.

If you look at the games when we had a lot of TOP Glenn, TO, and Witten all had 5 catches at 1 point in the game and no one complained.

Them complaining about getting the ball was just a cry out to the defense to get their act together.

We couldnt get a 3rd down stop if our lives depended on it and it really hurt our offense.

I agree that the complaints are more symbolic than specific. They are not based on some kind of analysis of play calls, because there's not a lot of logic to it. Glenn got 2 balls thrown to him in the first possession.

It also probably has something to do with deflection of blame. When you drop a pass that would've gone for a big gain, it's human nature to be defensive about it.

Somehow Terry's remarks got spun into a whine for more balls his way.

Whereas his whine was about ending up with seven points on an offense loaded with weapons.

That quote fits perfectly for the defense also.

It's extremely frustrating. We have all this talent, yet it leads to nothing. I wonder why...

We're the Dallas Cowboys so I'm not surprised.

I am kinda surprised actually that we even heard the cries of TG since TO was also complaining.

I am sure the majority of NFL fans didnt even hear about Glenn "crying" and was only spoon fed TOs cries. (maybe I am being paranoid )

I asked a question in response to your statement.

Who do you blame? Why can't I get a one word answer from people?

Nah. According to the experts on this board TO should continue to run fly routes. No adjustments should be made because "he knew what he was coming into". No Lombardi for us.

Well, ESPN has been carrying TG's whine since Monday morning. But every single mediot has said he merits a 'pass' for his crying, based on both the quantity of his crying this year and the quality.

I will answer for him - Must be the director.

For those who want a team of character blame the directors obviously.

Espicially when we make a move for TO who already had a reputation of bad things.

The only reason we heard about was because someone from this board found some obscure article and posted it. Otherwise, it's all TO all the time.

Ooooh so everyone gets a free pass for blaming coaches?

I was unaware of this.

Its stuff like that that made me turn my head from the media this week.

I couldnt stand watching all the news after that loss.
