Hindsight is 20/20, but what would you have done differently?

Starting at last years draft.

I would have kept Furguson. I was fine with trading Akin, but I thought we would regret giving away our anchor on Defense. Our d-line would have been sick this year.

Kept Fasano. Bennett might turn out great, but we simply threw away a second round pick. Instead of drafting Bennett in the second round, we could have drafted a o-lineman, wide receiver, or SS.

Jerry took way too many gambles and I think it hurt this team this year. Gambling that Tank would be a contributor. Gambling that Roy Williams would morph back into the old safety that played side by side with Woodson. Gambling that our oline would all stay healthy and that our debth was solid. There was a lot of people on this board that recognized these things.....how did Jerry not?

Drafted a QB that cares more about winning than being with Jessica Simpson.

Let's think back...Jerry interviewed Rivera, Singletary, Sparano, Wade and Norv (and Garrett got a semi interview for the HC position).

Out of all those interviews he narrowed it down to Norv and Wade.

Sparano was on Jerry's payroll and right under his nose for 4 years. Also, Jerry had Bill Parcells vouching for the guy as being a great coach and a guy who would make a great HC once he got his chance.

The obvious answer to your question was he should have hired Sparano.

Bill Parcells gave Jerry the answer to the test question and once again Jerry ignored the obvious answer. Just another example of how poor a GM Jerry really is.

Good point. I bet he would have spent less time with her, and more time studying film if we had drafted a quarterback in the second round.

God I wish we could have that one back!

Agree with almost all other points, but would've kept Ayodele because he's more of a 3-4 linebacker than Zach Thomas.

I still do not understand all of the mancrushes on Fasano. I think Bennett's potential is much greater than Fasano's.

Most definitely agree with you. However, Fasano plus a number 2 pick or Bennett. That is what you have to compare.

Drafted DeSean Jackson and not made the move for Roy E.

Yea, I don't know what to make of WR Roy Williams. He hasn't showed us much except for that one touchdown leap several games ago. He looks lost out there. He must imagine he's still hauling in passes against Baylor and A&M CBs.

Desean would sure compliment T.O well.

Let's not annoint Sparano the next great coach yet. Looks great but they may fall on their face next year. Or just not be as successful. In fact I'd bet money they don't win 10 games next year.

I've said losing Farano while not a great deal was also not a nothing. And I wouldn't mind the Bennett pick either. That looks like a great pick. He may be a better receiver than RWR. Curtis hurt us. My guess is they thought they didn't need Farano long term esp with Bennett here. That appears to be a mistake.

Fergy was a surprise also. I thought Tank was going to be a beast as well. With Ratliff and Tank they thought they had the bases covered. Fergy for a sixth was not a good idea. I don't know the cap implications on him but they couldn't be unsubstantial.

The OL and offense let us down again. That's two years in a row. I lay most of all of it on Tony and the OL and OC. Can't say that firing Garrett would be right although I've sure thought it. In reality I can't really know that.

All I know is we aren't in the playoffs and we were supposed to win a SB. Huge swing.

Jerry never recognizes the obvious....since he bought the team he has thought of himself as a football guy that makes good decisions. Well, only two coaches ever built the talent up on this team to win (Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells). And they did it in spite of Jerry getting involved. Jimmy luckily did it early before Jerry got too involved.

Jerry is a good business person who makes money. Doesn't mean he is a good general manager of the Dallas Cowboys.

Jackson was considered a big gamble. Andy Reid knows how to spot players and how to use them. Apparently we don't.

This team can't even tackle or play STs. That's elementary. Hell, I'm getting angry typing this.

And really spark our return game. Nevermind, even Prime Time wouldn't have been able to make any moves with our terrible special teams. We lost that battle weekly.

Special teams is one thing you take for granted when it's good/decent. But when it's bad, man does it stand out.

Draft was great, so I cannot find fault there.

I would have canned Read....this team is hurting on coverage and wasn't much better last year.

I admit I liked the Roy E. move at the time, but I would have probably benched his *** the moment Austin got back. If for nothing else than to motivate the guy for next year.
