Them Southern boys are crazy...Redneck fun aint no joke!

This guy here is paying homage to the song "Teach Me How to Dougie". He's the craziest of all of them, he actually saves alligators for a living, and he likes to wrestle and play with them for fun! Nuts!

Everyone loves these guys, right?

This album inspired The Chronic, Dre has mentioned such.... it was the "Low end" of the music that inspired him before doing the chronic...
I posted Jazz/Buggin Out multiple pages back.... People instinctive, & Midnight Marauders were both beautiful albums as well.... The Love Moment was the beginning of the end.... There's a film crew completing a documentary on the The Native tongue movement as we speak... should be out in a year or two.... and I'm sure most have watched the Micheal Rapport doc on tribe... It was cool, but it was focused on the conflict in the group & not the music..... I'm looking forward to the Native Tongues doc.

Kamal the Abstract AKA QTIP....solo tip (one of the best music minds in hip hop... composed all of the early tribe songs, tracks for Nas, Mobb Deep, and formed "The Umah" with Jdilla...RIP)

Make it work

LOL. No, probably not the most breakdance friendly music, but if I was 20 years younger, I'd pay money to be able to dance like that blonde chick! lol. I have a house full of guys here (husband and two sons) who can't do anything but stare when I play this video. lol:omg:

In honor of our 25th anniversary, I am going to re-post a video that I believe RonS posted a while back, iirc. But it is a song that me and my "then boyfriend" used to "sing" to each other when we were jammin out on Whodini.

Happy Anniversary, Pa.:p

I used to play this song over and over on my boom box... my parents used scream at me to "Turn it down"! I used to love the reverberation on the word "Love!"
Nice to hear music touched people the right way!

Why can I hear my mom right now, yelling the very same thing! LOL!!

Music has flowed thru my veins since the day I was born. My family were all musical, so I didn't know there was any other way to live. Music is how I see life, how I feel it, taste it, every thing in the universe has a song attatched to it. From the sky to the birds to the blades of grass. Every emotion, thought, expression, every life experience, no matter how big or small. I aggravate my family at times, because every thing they say I can instantly draw up a song to relate it to. And if I can't find one in my mind's music library, I will make a quick one up. lol. Then they have to listen to me sing it. lol.

If all of the world listened to all of the world's music, and felt the beauty and unity and love that lies within, then all of the world might be a better place.

Diabolic is a Smart Cat no doubting that. Definite Wu and horror-core influence in there. He's a talent, but definitely NY battle style (metaphors). Great artist.

The Hip Hop Heads sub on reddit has a Classic and Modern essential hip hop albums list and I had never heard of this site until recently. I'm sure some of you guys probably have. Anyway here is the list.

Modern:
http://www.reddit.com/r/hiphopheads/comments/1irgch/the_second_round_of_essentials_voting_is_now/

Classic
http://www.reddit.com/r/hiphopheads/comments/1imyre/the_first_round_of_essentials_voting_is_now/

There are some omissions in there that are pretty glaring in both lists like PE's Fear Of A Black Planet, No Run-DMC, only one Gang Starr album, etc. Some of these albums like Deltron 3030, Cannibal Ox I had never listened to. I'm almost afraid to admit that as a hip hop head. Also they had a maximum of 3 albums per artist for each list or someone like Kanye's entire discography would have been on there. I also love reading the breakdown and comments of each album when you go further into the site as well. Anyone wanted to know what others thought about this list.

My goodness, that is a big website, although I don't quite understand what type of site it is, or the layout of it. Maybe my computer just didn't pick up on the graphics? Anyway, I did scroll all, all, all the way down, lol, and I did not see Run DMC anywhere, you are right. All I have to say about a Classic HipHop list with no RUN DMC is that the ones who made the list apparently either are not old enough or just don't know enough about Classic HipHop to make a list to begin with.
But it doesn't matter what I think.RUN DMC has their own message for them::thumbup:

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Not even one Run-DMC album in a essential classic hip hop albums list is a no no. It's a solid list but there are some great albums missing from it. That modern list is pretty good with the exception of a few: Waka Flocka Flame and Young Jeezy

The classic list seems a little biased against the 80's, as you said no Run DMC, 1 PE, BKane, etc. and counted only a couple of non-coast groups; UGK - Ridin Dirty, Bone, and Outkast but that is pretty understandable considering rap was bread in NY and LA. I was glad to see some non-mainstream stuff made it on the modern list; UGK (very underrated group until Pimp C died) & Scarface (some of them I haven't listened to). These lists will always po some and vindicate others. Springs has been great @ expressing the perks of all types/sub-categories (ug) and would be hard to disagree with the impact most of the albums listed had on the genre. Outside of the Run DMC glaring hole, the list can be expected bc it is voter driven and seems to aspire to the bigger selling albums.

Thanks for posting that
