Well, I have learned that I am just to damn old to be posting in this thread. The world of rap/hip hop has left me behind. I guess I am just an old granny hip hop fan. I still love my oldies but goodies....

I don't have any fancy words to argue merits of artistic importance, like you all do, which fascinates me and makes me question my own intelligence. lol. This thread is like a hard core college artistic debate. I don't qualify for that. lol. All I have is awesome music. After all, that's what it's all about, right? The music. I'm not good with words, but I prefer to let the beat flow thru my veins. It does the talkin for me. This is old, but damn, it's still good...come on yall...

When LL came up.... he performed at MSG on a bill with Run Dmc & The bestie boys.....
the rumblings was on how great a young lion LL was... there was tension between himself and the vets RUN-DMC....
After LL came off stage.... RUN-DMC went on...... and RUN proclaimed......

Oh man, back in 88 I think, me and my husband saw RUN DMC and Beastie Boys at the Summit in Houston. It was so awesome, but LL wasn't there. You are so lucky you got to see all three of them. Damn! DAMM!! Dude! You lucky!! I'm so jealous!! But RUN DMC, they were the masters of the day. I am sure they slammed the crowd and let them know WHO'S BOSS! lol. But that LL, man, that LL. He's one H--E--L--L of a **.

Your opinion is just as warranted and respected (as are all of course). I would be considered 'old school' among the youth in DC/USA too:D

:p Thanks yall. Appreciate the acceptance.

Me and my friends used to love to breakdance to this one at the rollerskating rink back in the day. Yes, we use to breakdance even in rollerskates. I was pretty good at it, a skinny ballerina and all. Can't do it no more, of course, lol, some 30 years later. Can't believe that much time's gone by. SMH. Still miss those parachute pants. lol. The Egyptian Lover was a bad mofo with awesome beats.

I hope it's ok to play this. It's one of my favorite songs of any genre. I sing it all the time and don't care what nobody thinks. I love the message and the impact. It is a classic to me. I still love this band.

I really wanted to play Murder Was The Case, but of course couldn't find an edited "enough" version. I thought there wasn't a better story than a true one. But even the official music video wasn't edited enough. Go figure. Can't play 187, of course which is one of my favorite Snoop Dre songs. Dang. Good grief, no wonder there aint no Snoop songs on here. Jeez! This one's ahhiit. It's a good Snoop one, awesome beat yeah, that's actually edited. Dang!

Love this track (Biggie and Southern touch with 8ball/MJG and Project Pat)

Yeah good one. Love Biggie, and my son loves Project Pat. Can't wait to ask him if knows this one. He'll like it if he hasn't heard it yet. Can't deny that beat. Dang. Tough.

Let's just say when you are a teenager there are no boundaries. :) It was easy, actually! When you love to breakdance, you breakdance anywhere. I used to breakdance in my toeshoes in ballet class! Breakdancing in toeshoes is awesome! It really makes moonwalking easier. We used to breakdance everywhere, and since we lived at the skating rink on weekends, well, we danced in our skates. Our skating rink was cool like that, and they played a LOT of breakdance friendly songs. But we also used to breakdance at school during PE (gymnastics/aerobics) in the gym. It was so much fun. I used to love the centipede. That was my favorite move.

I absolutely love Arrested Development.
