My Opinions above...

I made a song for the Cowboys this year. Cheesy, obviously, but could I get some feedback on my flow, lyrics, beat from some hip-hop heads? Would be appreciated.

Love the beat, flow, and very creative content mixing in all the players and football terminology. Sweet song dude! You should try to sell it to local DFW radio. In DC they had a weekly song similar to this (your track was much better done) about the Skins on a local radio station. Love the beat and original lyrics. Your flow looks like it has variance, you could speed it up or slow it down if need be, takes talent for that. Much respect for the effort but more importantly, the quality song you produced there. Respect!

Really appreciate that man!! I'm really lacking in the marketing game, but the views alone make me happy haha. I would love to get it radio play, but I'm not sure how realistic that would be

It would be great to hear it on the radio. I'd love to see a highlight video accompanying it on youtube. Lots of great highlights from this season to choose from. Your song was awesome, man. I listened to it three times in a row the other day. Guess I just wasn't ready for it to end. I agree with everything BigStar said about it. I meant to post about it, but I must have gotten distracted and never made the post. It's really a great song.

Oh wasn't blowing smoke man:D Below is an example of one of the songs was played on 95.5 FM (rap station in DC) talking Skins. Similar to your track but prefer yours most deftly:

So no one else has any thoughts on this? Thought there would be a little more reaction but I guess not.

Sorry, mldardy. Didn't mean to skip passed your post. I'm really just on here for the music, myself. I usually just skip over the talky posts, unless there is an awesome song attached. lol. You did list some good music. I just prefer to hear the song with the mention.:D

One of my favorite Outkast songs....

You could still vote though. I just thought I'd post something for a little fun that's all.

Some of these choices are a little arbitrary b/c I don't really listen to much of the 90s rap, admittedly. But College Dropout is one of my favorite albums of all time. I think Kanye's a ****** of epic proportions, but I still play that all the time. School Spirit is on just about every playlist I have, to this day.

You need too. It's the best decade/era of hip hop.

Yep it's pretty good. I haven't been a big fan since F & L and The Cool but this album is on par with those two.

Eh, in terms of music it's cool but a lot of the content is a turnoff.

wow no. The albums, the artists that came out in that decade are some of the best the genre has and will ever have. It set the foundation for how hip-hop has expanded to appeal to a wider audience. There is no way you can say Illmatic, Ready To Die, 36 Chambers, etc is just cool. Give me a break man. You gotta a lot to learn.

Eh, in terms of music it's cool but a lot of the content is a turnoff.

The 80's & 90's ( until mid) is probably the era where hip hop was most diverse. The labels didn't feel like they knew more than the artist... so it was one of the most creative era's..... It was new..... It depends on what you are looking for. You can find gritty grimey crime, you can find high concept artistry, you can find political, and you can find pop.
