I dont know if this is in the right thread, but i have a question for the group. That hit on Dez that split him in half, would that not be a call? I was of the understanding that you cant hit a defenseless receiver. You dont get much more defenseless then in mid air without the ball in your hands. If tyrons "leg whip" was called, how was this not?

can someone clarify the rules. Would the personal foul been ruled as happening after the interception, causing the run-back to be reversed, or would it of reversed the interception?

Hitting a defenseless player who doesn't have the ability to touch the ball is never permitted. It is more flagrant than an inadvertent leg whip.

No, Dez didn't come close to a touch, except from the seat at the top of the stadium before the big screen picks it up. The referees even had the advantage of replay on that jumbo screen....

You can hit a defenseless player. You just can't make contact with their head/neck, launch, or lead with the top of your helmet.

A QB in the act of passing is defenseless. They don't flag you for a clean hit on a QB who is throwing (minus a few horrid calls here or there).

complaining about the refs after that game? You gotta be kidding me.

does the particular game matter?

rules have been implemented supposedly to protect the big stars in the game. Dez is a pretty huge star, and that hit seems exactly like the kinds we are not allowed to do to other teams.

It seems like to me we have cry baby fans

A lot of men don't wear their own emotions on their sleeves when it comes to someone else pointing out something they saw that merited a discussion at least. That's call a sportsmanship conversation.

It's crying about the refs. Period

Take the marbles out of the pie hole and speak up...walk out to the street and leave a similar calling card, and then come back looking as a raccoon. Then tell us about crying...
