I tend to be more objective than a died-in-the-wool homer. I want them to do well, but if they play stupid, I can accept the loss, and hope they learn from it.

I would like to think we are all homers, just in varying degrees. After all we are fans of the team (well most of us).

However I also think that many are not on the extreme side of homerism.

With that said I predict we go 16-0 with the #1 offense and #1 Defense this season before going into the playoffs and in the playoffs/superbowl our offense will average 28 points per game and our defense will only give up 3 points per game.

I guess I'm probably slightly homerish. I am surprised sometimes when the Cowboys beat the Iggles. I was stunned when Parcells went into New York and won that game in his first season. I was somewhat surprised last season when we beat the Colts, but I wasn't surprised when we beat the Panthers (the magnitude of the beating was a little surprising). I was shocked when we lost to the Saints, and I was angry the we lost to the Squawks in the playoffs. I thought we could have gone into Chicago and won the playoff game, but I thought we would then get trounced by the Saints.

On the players, I'm not completely sold on Romo or our defensive line. I believe we have some of the better starting safeties, corners, receivers, outside linebackers, and tight ends. Our running backs and offensive linemen are adequate. I'm not sure about the ILB's yet. If James or Carpenter can step up, we will have a very good set of linebackers.

Well, I have my moments. Like this evening when I was watching Sports Center and they broke down the NFC East and we were picked 2nd behind Philly on both sides of the ball, I got pissed momentarily, especially when Schlereth said our offensive line, even with Davis is just "average". Then I realized, well, can't argue with us being picked behind Philly. They are still the team to beat for the division and until we do it, we SHOULD be rated behind them. Win the EAST in 08!

You are absolutely correct. As BP would say...you are what you are...., and right now we are a 9-7 Wild Card team. Until we win that 10th game, then 11th game, then the East Division.
I will not get upset if they pick the Eagles to take the East. That is all it is at this point, just someone's opinion that can say it on TV or put it in print.
Prove it on the field, take down the Iggles twice and the East.
