How big a boost do we expect from D Laws return?

I remember Hardy's first game back he had a few sacks, then basically fell off. I imagine the 2nd and 3rd games back are more difficult than the 1st game. I don't expect much with DLaw's back, and I don't ever think he will ever be the 2014 tank.
the 2014 tank didn't have a regular season sack so not sure that's all that much to live up to. Dude misses 4 games in his 3rd year and he already can never be as good as his rookie season?

We've definitely been missing a pass rush. Hopefully he'll make the DL more effective .

Almost impossible that this guy is in football shape at this point.

Hardy faded after those pictures were released. That's when he started showing up late for meetings and everything. Go back and research it, he was playing well until those pics came out. But back to D-Law if he just hurry a throw or two this week I would be happy.

Sounds like a lot of busy work which I absolutely can't stand. I was simply paraphrasing marinelli from an article I read in the news forum.

Year 3. He should be coming into his own. Nate has raved about how good he's looked leading up to the season.

I say few pressures and maybe one sack. Probably plays 23 snaps.

Didn't Lawrence have 7 sacks in the last 8 games?? He's in his 3rd year where Defense ends take care off in there career, with what we have out there now, he will be a huge boost, I expect Collins to be single teamed more often now

Maybe he gets 25-30 snaps this week, essentially replacing Mayowa. That's a win.

If Irvin is able to go too then I am thinking people in this thread might be surprised by the impact.

Honestly I think his presence will help the line in general. They will look at him and maybe double him or put a little more pressure on him than our other guys.

In DeMarcus Lawrence's return Cowboys can learn from Greg Hardy in 2015

"See how he is, see how he feels, conditioning," Marinelli said. "He hasn’t been in pads in a month, so we’ve just got to see where he’s at, but he’s in good shape and I’m counting on him coming in and doing good. We just can’t overdo it. You’ve got to be smart."

Marinelli might have learned a lesson last year when Greg Hardy returned from a four-game suspension. In the first half of his first game against the New England Patriots, he was virtually unblockable. He finished with two sacks and five quarterback hurries, but he was never that good again the rest of the season.

"That first game, that’s when these guys (can really go)," Marinelli said. "The next week they have training-camp legs. Your body is like training camp, so you go hit and you feel great, but then you start dipping and you’ll come back. You’ve just got to be smart."

You're right. He was great in the Lion's game. He even stripped and recovered the ball to seal the game. I thought he'd be legit after that, but it seems the back thing has really stunted his growth.

Less than 6 snaps a quarter? I would hope that hes in better shape than that.

there are guys that got sacks week 1 right? Ok so I'm not expecting to be waiting until after the bye week for this guy to make an impact. If he's what they say he is I'm expecting an instant boost to our D.

I think if anything it help Maliek Collins on the inside to have Lawrence out there. I really like Collins.

I agree, beyond his individual production, I think as teams have to pay more attention to him it will help the rest of the line with theirs.
