- Dak Prescott is the highest rated Quarterback (by the superior QBR metric) of any uninjured quarterback in the NFL. Numero Uno.

- Zeke Elliott is the #2 running back in yards.

-Since Cooper took over at guard and the Cowboys tweaked their blocked scheme...they've been rolling.

-DeMarcus Lawrence leads the league in sacks, but David Irving has an even higher rating of sacks per play.

-Sean Lee is back and playing in pro bowl form.

-The young guns in the secondary are learning and growing every week.

-Hitchens returned and has played his way back into game shape. He led the team in tackles in Washington.

The front office has put together a team that is 18-6 over the past two seasons, second only to New England. They've won 3 in a row. Jerry and Stephen snatched Irving from KC--for nothing. They are getting big production from cast-aside lineman Cooper. They enjoyed one of the best drafts in NFL history in 2016 and added more talent this past spring. Dallas has 3 or 4 additional compensatory draft picks in the upcoming draft because of insightful manipulation of the free agent system.

The maligned defense, last in points per drive through the first five weeks, has gelled just as I suggested, with 3 good games in a row.

How 'bout dem Cowboys!

Great visionary thread here! Outstanding!

And all of it means absolutely nothing until we can go deep into the playoffs. And with Garrett still as head coach and the suspension for Zeke looming, this post is as gleeful and premature as the other ones you have posted.

The ones that make me laugh are the ones that make a big deal about scoring a certain amount of points or winning in a certain way. As if it matters, all wins (and losses) are counted equally.

Example: DP should of won 38-10 instead of winning 28-16.

3 wins in a row, and there where still be some whiners on here attempting to knit pick the teams shortcomings. It almost feels sometimes that they want the team to fail, just to try prove a point, or fuel their agenda.

When we're losing a couple of games in a row, it's popular to point out the front office's failures: Carroll, Paea, Thornton, Byron Jones isn't Pro Bowl-caliber, Taco hasn't produced much, etc.

When we're on a winning streak, it's popular to point out the successes like Cooper, snatching Irving, draft picks who've shined, etc.

The truth usually falls somewhere in between. The front office/coaching staff isn't near as bad as the blame it receives when the team is losing nor near as good as the praise it receives when we're winning.

The OP forgot to add:

- Cooper Rush is the coolest-named and most talented backup QB in the NFL.

OK, now the list is complete!

Is there all of a sudden enough "data" for you?

For those of you confused by Roy's reference, he's asking if a span of 24 games is more significant statistically than a span of 4 or five games I had referred to in a debate from earlier in the season.

And to answer your question, Roy: yes, 24 games *is* more statistically significant than 4 games. PM me for details if it's not completely clear why I say that.

'Somewhere in between' is a good way of putting it. Not to be confused with 'somewhere in the middle.' We've done more good things than bad things when it comes to assembling and retaining talent in Dallas during the Garrett years. And at a higher rate than most other teams, too.

Do you guys still respond to him? I've had that moron on ignore for years. I figured he'd crawled back under his rock by now. To bad mods can't use the ignore feature.

The Defense has played great these past three games but they still give me an uneasy feeling every time they're on the field. I hate to say this but I dont trust them yet.
