3 wins in a row, and there where still be some whiners on here attempting to knit pick the teams shortcomings. It almost feels sometimes that they want the team to fail, just to try prove a point, or fuel their agenda.
yap it does appear like it

I agree that some fans get down on the team as a coping mechanism. There are, I believe, other things in play:

-A lot of people love to endlessly bemoan the bosses and decision-makers. As a contractor I've been around companies where this is the daily sport at lunch-time. Sometimes criticism is deserved w/bosses--absolutely no doubt. In the company where I was contracting...the employees mainly just liked to moan and gripe and convince themselves they were smarter.

-Unrealistic expectations. Some fans view anything short of a Super Bowl as total abject failure

-Some here have a bone to pick w/Cowboys about non-football stuff.
I'll have to consider this "coping mechanism" safe room idea. Agree generally with your post

- Dak Prescott is the highest rated Quarterback (by the superior QBR metric) of any uninjured quarterback in the NFL. Numero Uno.

- Zeke Elliott is the #2 running back in yards.

-Since Cooper took over at guard and the Cowboys tweaked their blocked scheme...they've been rolling.

-DeMarcus Lawrence leads the league in sacks, but David Irving has an even higher rating of sacks per play.

-Sean Lee is back and playing in pro bowl form.

-The young guns in the secondary are learning and growing every week.

-Hitchens returned and has played his way back into game shape. He led the team in tackles in Washington.

The front office has put together a team that is 18-6 over the past two seasons, second only to New England. They've won 3 in a row. Jerry and Stephen snatched Irving from KC--for nothing. They are getting big production from cast-aside lineman Cooper. They enjoyed one of the best drafts in NFL history in 2016 and added more talent this past spring. Dallas has 3 or 4 additional compensatory draft picks in the upcoming draft because of insightful manipulation of the free agent system.

The maligned defense, last in points per drive through the first five weeks, has gelled just as I suggested, with 3 good games in a row.

How 'bout dem Cowboys!
I too talked about the defense being better towards the end of the season. Growing pains would happen earlier in the season but they will come together later in the season.

And all of it means absolutely nothing until we can go deep into the playoffs. And with Garrett still as head coach and the suspension for Zeke looming, this post is as gleeful and premature as the other ones you have posted.
Easy bro- we are going to do it, book it. It’s all going to work out.

For you FO haters out there: 18-6. Bunch of teams and fans in this league would love to have it. Smell the roses, they’re mighty fine. Postseason success will come

And if we lose to the Falcons, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

I like the line up of Lee-Hitchens-Wilson

No doubt. The players will be bums and coaches idiots.

The only people that will look like idiots are the homers that keep saying we are going to go 8-0 and control our own destiny.

For those of you confused by Roy's reference, he's asking if a span of 24 games is more significant statistically than a span of 4 or five games I had referred to in a debate from earlier in the season.

And to answer your question, Roy: yes, 24 games *is* more statistically significant than 4 games. PM me for details if it's not completely clear why I say that.

LOL.......why do you talk to the board like they care about our little conversation? No one cares.

But at least lets get the facts straight. 3 games ago when this team was 2-3 and people were down on the boys you said "there is a lot of the season left. Too early to draw any conclusions. "not enough data". And now ONLY 3 games later you are all about how great we are looking and all of a sudden there is plenty of data for you? Buddy buddying up with all the gleeful types that we're heading for great things.

Where is the caution now? Where is all the "not enough data" talk now? Your biased is showing. Nice flip flop. Agenda much?

Dude. It's painful to read your posts. This isn't a stat about 5 games. Or about 6 games. It was a stat about 24 games. And I know that was specifically mentioned multiple times in this thread. Please tell me you see the difference between a 24 game sample and a 5 game sample and get why your argument is a stupid one that should embarrass you.

Sidenote: the fact we're on a three game win streak is exactly why I said at 2-3 that there's a lot of season to play. It supports my argument, and not yours. Just so we're clear. If we were 2-6 instead, though, that would *also* support my argument since my point was always that it was too early to tell for sure how good or bad any team was likely to be. NFL seasons are long, and a lot can change quickly.

LOL.......of course its painful because it at your expense. And how does 3 more games support your argument that you cant draw any conclusions because there is "plenty of season left" and "there is not enough data". To imply that 3 more games is now "enough data" is completely laughable. And shows what a complete sack of farm mud your original statement was. Which is why I completely laughed at it when you said it.

You keep mistaken your own inabilities to see things and projecting those onto OTHER POSTERS. OTHER POSTERS have enough data to formulate opinions and make predictions.

Stop insulting poster for their opinions simply because you feel insecure that you cant see something yet. And it would be great if you stopped calling posters stupid. Aren't there rules about those sort of things?

The biggest Garrett lover in the world calling anyone else stupid as about as immature as it gets. Talk about embarrassing. You clearly have no shame.

If you cant have a discussion or argument without calling someone stupid, then maybe you shouldnt be involved. Its obviously too emotional for you.

Let's stop derailing the thread here. It was an aside because you didn't do the math on sample size for the point in question. Nobody cares what I think about your inability to formulate a coherent argument, or what you have to say about that in reply.

What does this mean though? Score fifty points and shut out the opponent?

No stupid mistakes or calls, like that prevent D against KC, or the prevent D against GB. stuff like that.
Just a game with no head scratching from the fans.
