Just a game with no head scratching from the fans.
No team gets that type of treatment, ever. It could be a 50-0 win, and fans would blame the coaching staff for having to settle for field goals on a few drives.

That is true, but that is not the point. You know what I mean.
Toward the end of the Gb...running game was working. Why try the pass at that time. Run the ball take more time off the clock or make them use their last time out. But the pass, yes a TD still would be great, but they ran on the next play and got the TD anyway.

Everyone knew KC would throw a short pass and not the Hail Mary once they seen the defense. This was not typical of Marinelli. Normally he kept 4 guys about 15 to 20 yards deep and 3 deep, and it seemed to work. But no, not this time he brain farts. there are other examples as well. these are not the FG or TD type decisions.

you know what I mean, so not sure what you are trying to indicate hear. Maybe you want to say I am just whining, but I am not. You know what I mean. Not very often you see other coaches making these type of choices on a regular basis.

Well we won the game so the coaches obviously did more good than bad. I get it that some of like to focus on the bad.

No, I am not sure what you mean. My point is fans second guess coaching staffs when things don't work. For example, if its 3rd and 15 and the coaching staff calls a draw play, and the RB gets 16 yards, the coaching staff would be called geniuses for having the foresight to make such a call. If it doesn't work, they would be questioned on the call. So the fan reaction is always based on the result, when the reaction should be, that was a terrible call, they just got lucky (or the opposite if it was thought to be a good call). Coaches are going to be questioned all the time so I don't see how its possible to have a game with no head scratching from the fans.

Of course, I said nothing remotely close to that. For the record.

Of course you didn't. As we know...

People struggling to win an argument...sometimes turn to mis-stating, exaggerating or otherwise distorting the views of those they oppose.

I'm not far from setting "Cowboy Roy" to 'ignore.'

I've seen him make some solid posts so I'll remain hopeful. I don't mind disagreements when they are handled agreeably.

In fairness to him, he can't reply to the argument here anymore. But not for any reasons visible in thread.

Get to February.

I need to see some playoff success....and at this point I mean making it to at least the conference championship game or super bowl. IMO we've had a super bowl contender twice in the past few years and have only one playoff win to show for it

The 2014 and 2016 teams didn't have enough horse-power on defense, IMO. Maybe that has changed...we'll soon see.
