- Dak Prescott is the highest rated Quarterback (by the superior QBR metric) of any uninjured quarterback in the NFL. Numero Uno.

- Zeke Elliott is the #2 running back in yards.

-Since Cooper took over at guard and the Cowboys tweaked their blocked scheme...they've been rolling.

-DeMarcus Lawrence leads the league in sacks, but David Irving has an even higher rating of sacks per play.

-Sean Lee is back and playing in pro bowl form.

-The young guns in the secondary are learning and growing every week.

-Hitchens returned and has played his way back into game shape. He led the team in tackles in Washington.

The front office has put together a team that is 18-6 over the past two seasons, second only to New England. They've won 3 in a row. Jerry and Stephen snatched Irving from KC--for nothing. They are getting big production from cast-aside lineman Cooper. They enjoyed one of the best drafts in NFL history in 2016 and added more talent this past spring. Dallas has 3 or 4 additional compensatory draft picks in the upcoming draft because of insightful manipulation of the free agent system.

The maligned defense, last in points per drive through the first five weeks, has gelled just as I suggested, with 3 good games in a row.

How 'bout dem Cowboys!

You'd never know that reading the threads in here the last couple of weeks.

No you wouldn't. Even though I contributed on a few of those post...mostly in-game or after game frustrating posts........
Still waiting for a complete game from the coaches though...:muttley:....

I did make a thread poking fun at myself though.

3 wins in a row, and there where still be some whiners on here attempting to knit pick the teams shortcomings. It almost feels sometimes that they want the team to fail, just to try prove a point, or fuel their agenda.

Exactly.

- Dak Prescott is the highest rated Quarterback (by the superior QBR metric) of any uninjured quarterback in the NFL. Numero Uno.

He hasn't been "flashy" or been putting up gaudy numbers, but he's just getting the job done. Getting the offense in position to score points. No matter who, no matter what. And he doesn't turn the ball over. Amazing for a guy not even two years into his NFL career.

- Zeke Elliott is the #2 running back in yards.

And gaining momentum with every week. Let's hope it not derailed by league bureaucracy.

-Since Cooper took over at guard and the Cowboys tweaked their blocked scheme...they've been rolling.

That's one I had right. I wanted him there from the beginning.

-DeMarcus Lawrence leads the league in sacks, but David Irving has an even higher rating of sacks per play.

I had high hopes for Irving's, but never expected this from Lawrence. I thought he was done due to the back surgeries. Way wrong.

-Sean Lee is back and playing in pro bowl form.

He's the Captain of the defense out there. Night and day difference.

-The young guns in the secondary are learning and growing every week.

With hopefully Awuzie ready to join them soon.

-Hitchens returned and has played his way back into game shape. He led the team in tackles in Washington.

Lee's right hand man. Sean gets the pub, but Hitchens is a key contributor as well.

I'm not getting into that conversation again.

Yesterday was truly an impressive win, and save for that halftime gaffe, a totally dominating performance. If that is truly a sign of things to come, and that is the defense we will be seeing from here on out, this team can play with anybody.

That's how impressive that performance was.

I'd "like" this post many many times if I could.

Everything stated is legit. This isn't blind homerism folks.

I know. Players suck. Front office and coaches are all idiots. I heard it here, must be true.

Hmmmm

I'm debating what team to switch to. Currently Broncos or Packers leading candidates.

I am no longer a fan of the Cowboys but I do occasionally come back over here to check it out...and wow.
What misery to be under Jerry's thumb. So glad I'm there no longer.

You'd never know that reading the threads in here the last couple of weeks.

This FO that you are lauding has been in place for over 20 years with McClay being a recent addition and even he has been here for several years

Since they're so great, can you remind me

how many NFC CGs we've played in and won?

How many SBs we've played in and won?

Let's go easy on you, how many playoff games have we won ?

I've seen this movie before of a good season and one and done in the playoffs and I've seen this movie several times in the last 2+ decades

The FO will get their accolades when they build a team that is in the playoffs and advances deep for several years with a SB win or 2. A good regular season does not wipe out decades of mediocrity

Different fans employ various self-coping mechanisms for dealing with possible failure AND/OR success. They may seem unnecessary but are deemed vital to those needing them.

Came here just to quote this.

Some of our fans are such idiots.

Id have liked Bowman and I wasnt happy about Philly getting Ajayi. I also thought we turned over too much in the secondary this offseason and I get annoyed with our coaches. Those are my negatives for the most part.

To be clear I am far more positive about this team, our roster and our front office. Its actually pretty obnoxious how many die hards were writing the team off 3 weeks ago. I laughed at the 49er pregame threads and mentioned beating them and the skins and who knows about KC. Of coarse I was ribbed a bit for that but honestly theres alot of quit on this board. Im glad our Cowboys have more heart than some of our sad sack fans.

Whoa! Wait a minute, sir! I’ve heard here that this FO is clueless. We did nothing this offseason. Tap the brakes.

I agree that some fans get down on the team as a coping mechanism. There are, I believe, other things in play:

-A lot of people love to endlessly bemoan the bosses and decision-makers. As a contractor I've been around companies where this is the daily sport at lunch-time. Sometimes criticism is deserved w/bosses--absolutely no doubt. In the company where I was contracting...the employees mainly just liked to moan and gripe and convince themselves they were smarter.

-Unrealistic expectations. Some fans view anything short of a Super Bowl as total abject failure

-Some here have a bone to pick w/Cowboys about non-football stuff.

The first two examples are self-coping mechanisms. The third example is a product of belligerence.
