How can anyone defend these coaches?

Because the problem in Dallas is not with the coaching?

I know, I know. You're on a high from second-guessing every single play call again this week, and so that's what's got you worked up. But the facts are that this is really not a bad team, and that the limitations we do have are not with the coaching. And I don't care how many of you guys have willfully convinced yourselves otherwise, or how often you repeat it to make yourselves feel like it's actually the case.

Wow you are so wrong I cant even begin to tell you how much.

Marinelli as the DL coach has kept the defense from being a complete nightmare. Besides that, not really pleased with how this team plays.

Good news: Next week, Garrett gets another opportunity to prove he's better than a .500 coach.
Bad news: Next week's opponent is the Saints coming off a loss.

our coaching sucks and has for years and years...i just deal with it now and expect it so its not shocking or annoying any longer.

The way this team is playing the Skins with that Joke of a QB can easily win this division. We still have to play them and the Giants at their place. The skins have beat teams with winning records. Dallas has not. So I wouldn't be to excited with this win. The coaches are terrible the scheme sucks the play calling is terrible.

These are the facts because I say they are the facts. Dallas has great coaching because I believe it in my heart of hearts. There is no problem with coaching no matter what anyone else says.

Anyone who says there's a problem with coaching just doesn't know a thing.

Have I summed it up correctly?

Oh, man, no. My post wasn't even about the HC. It was about posters here complaining about the coaching for no good reason.

My many posts about the qualities of the HC, though, are on record. But even then, you're attempt to sum them up is badly wrong. But I'm sorry you don't like him, though. It must make Sundays less fun for you.

Callahan is horrible. So predictable with this offense. Love the 50 pass, 7 run ratio. We were not behind and Murray averaged 7 yards on his whopping 4 attempts. Cannot expect the O line to hold any D line down when throwing 50+ times.

We are decimated by injuries and we are currently in first place in the NFC East.

our dline is depleted (ware, crawford, spencer, lost ratliff, etc) and we have starters out in the secondary.......how are we poorly coached? We could use some of that Lester Hayes stick'em though

The offense is a different story. I'm not fan of the offense. I do think, however, the defense is underrated in light of (1) the number of injuries and (2) the fantastic number of turnovers.

pigs flying, we agree.

No worries. Something tells me I'll get to read lots and lots about how wrong I am in each and every game day thread the rest of Jason Garrett's tenure in Dallas. However long that might be. :)

Nailed it.

Think Edward Furlong from Terminator 2.

"Because you can't"

"Why?"

"Because you just can't, OK?"

"Why?"

"Because you just can't."

On a positive note, it shouldn't be too long...

Sims had some awful plays. I particularly enjoyed (Jennings?) catching a ball with no one within 5 yards of him, watching Sims retreat to give Jennings more space, and our CB came up to make the tackle. Only when the CB started forward on the receiver, did Sims stop retreating and went after play, albeit after the corner made the tackle.

At that point, you may as well put Carter and his athleticism on the field and hope for the best. If Sims isn't going to be a smart player; play the athlete.

Secondly, some really impressive plays by Heath. lol. Can't wait for him to reside on the bench and maybe somewhere else next year. S has been a problem for years. Maybe we will finally address it this offseason.

This team has too many mental lapses. It did the same with Parcells. Same with Wade. Same with Garrett. A new regime isn't going to change anything. Garrett has his issues. But I don't think a coaching staff change is going to bring about any real turnaround.

How many times did we see perfectly dialed up blitzes with players unable to bring down Ponder? We could have had four sacks if we converted on some of those chances. I still really love what Marinelli is doing though, he's making a group street players (much like last year) play like all pros. Imagine if we were rolling out Ware, Ratliff,Crawford,Spencer and Hatcher. We'd be deadly.
