The Cowboys kinda remind me of the Yankees. For one, they both have/had egotistical owners. I think Steinbrenner and Jones are too proud to rebuild because they don't want to accept being one of the bottom-feeders of the league. It takes a certain amount of humility as an owner to accept going into full rebuild mode. Look at the Yankees: they trade away their young prospects for overpaid veterans, and they throw big money at guys in their 30s. They're always trying to put band-aids on all their problems. Reminds me of a ship with holes in the bottom. They keep trying to plug each hole, and when they do another hole pops up. Rather than just let the boat sink and build a new one from scratch, they keep trying to revive this old dying ship.
