How can you extend Dak at this point?

I don’t know how you could justify it at this point. Suddenly the acquisition of Lance is starting to make more sense, maybe the insider guys knew something about Dak. It’s clear this guy isn’t even a middle tier QB anymore there is no way you can pay him that kind of money and compete. There is no defense good enough, no receiver good enough to elevate Dak to that kind of pay and production.
Dak was good at one time but I think the ankle injury has taken away his mobility. His confidence is now rattled. This makes him a poor QB at this time and he seems to be getting worse. Under no circumstances can they resign him. I doubt he would get many looks as a starter at this point especially an expensive one at that.

Him being a spectacle on the bench will not help any either

In life He is a success but in the spot light of the media attention he could be devastated

I wish the best for him but he has to move aside

If Jerry does not bench him Then Jerry will lose this team
I agree, and the crazy thing here is you saying, Jerry needs to bench him.

How many NFL teams do you hear where the owner needs to bench the QB?

This is the reason of the 28 plus years of meh.

Of course we all know who and what the problem is . . . but we are held hostage because we love this team

Exactly. Since 1972 for me and it is a shame what Jerry has done over the years with this franchise. Not the business end, I am talking about the product he has put on the field.

Why is Purdy throwing to wide open players?
Could be that Purdy is purdy good QB that has the ability to beat defenses on a regular basis.
sure he is a good QB but again call it scheme, talent of players, whatever we have no one running wide open and they had several every play, Dak for sure didnt show up last night but where the hell were your other all stars on both sides of the ball? That was gutless to be honest, I'm cool if we start unloading some of these "Dogs" because they are not dogs when they lay down in that game...

it's easy, you just give him a crap ton of money and then let him sit on the bench where he belongs. Go full destruction of the cowboys. go dakiee

after watching that effort I'm not sure there is a player on the roster who is "Untradeable" seriously its one thing to come out flat and over look a bad team...you got weighed and measured by a good team and literally to a man you dont have a top end player compared to them...

they got a mudhole stomped in their butt. SF should have run it up on them. Maybe they would get pissed again.

Jerry never admits a mistake but Dak is a terrible quarterback , literally bottom 3rd of league so there is a slight hope that even stubborn mule Jerry realizes it at this point.

My point being is that good QBs in this league throw WRs and TEs open.
When defenses have to respect accuracy they play more conservative and have to abandon some zones, Dak is a panic chunker of the pigskin, and invites INTs.

Jerry's goal isn't winning and hasn't been since shortly after firing Jimmy. He sells hopes and dreams, maybe the Cowboys can do it this year blah blah blah.

Peeps really believe that the Receiving options and scheme are still the problem with this team, really?
I SMH at so many that post here daily. hourly.
Tic Toc, Tic Toc, Dak is on the clock.

You forgot to add the ums and lip smacking noises that Jerry likes to make.

Yea I hear ya but he is scheduled to count 59 million next season. If we cut him the cap hit is 61 million. In 2025 the cap hit if he's cut is 36 million. Those are devastating numbers no matter how it's sliced up. One thing is for sure, it would be a massive mistake to extend or restructure at this point, just do what needs to be done and let's move past it all.
Actually it’s doable over the 2 years best option would be to tell him to seek a team willing to trade for him that he would accept and pay a good portion of his contract for next year otherwise take your lumps and cut him at seasons end. But it doesn’t matter as Jerry will extend him at some point.

I wonder if his training regimen is the wrong one for his body type. He needs more flexibility or something. He runs like he flippers
This.

Dak looks like someone who can't dance trying to perform a choreographed number at a talent show when drops back to pass

He literally looks like a toddler learning to walk while with other QBs like Brock Purdy it looks smooth and natural...

This is probably why Dak has accuracy problems and is hit or miss
