How can you extend Dak at this point?

I hear you. As much as I want to move on from Dak, I think he is a good guy and I wish him the best, but it is time to move on. They will be doing him a favor by benching him. If his play continues to go south, the social media out lash will be even worse and more relentless.
Him being a spectacle on the bench will not help any either

In life He is a success but in the spot light of the media attention he could be devastated

I wish the best for him but he has to move aside

If Jerry does not bench him Then Jerry will lose this team

Genius Stephen Jones will have to extend him, or we’ll hit the salary cap. They’ll extend him.

Yea I realize that but those remaining dollars on his current contract get rolled over into the extension and then dispersed over the life of the new contract. Unless I am mistaken there is still around 100 million remaining on his 160 million contract. Somebody would have to pick up all of that unless we agreed to pay some of it just to get rid of the guy.
I’m not sure how much of that contract was guaranteed money. I know he doesn’t have 55M of gauranteed money remaining. In typical Jones fashion, his contract was designed to be extended which is why we have that huge cap hit next year if he plays on the one year remaining.

I don’t know how you could justify it at this point. Suddenly the acquisition of Lance is starting to make more sense, maybe the insider guys knew something about Dak. It’s clear this guy isn’t even a middle tier QB anymore there is no way you can pay him that kind of money and compete. There is no defense good enough, no receiver good enough to elevate Dak to that kind of pay and production.

Judging by Dak''s play on the field and the upcoming schedule . . . No Later then the Eagles Game. If Dak continues then no later than that or Jerry loses the team

Micah does not like losing at anything . . .And Now they are questioning if He and Lamb quit on the team . . . And the 49ers are talking and He gotta keep His mouth shut because His QB $65 million can't Hang . . .

So His squad gets dog walked and shade is being thrown on the defense as if they didn't play inspired ball. What a Crock of """" who can hang with San Fran with the time of possession the offense was producing

It was a pathetic performance by Dak and everybody running their mouths is picking the whole team apart and it is not fair and Micah will not eat it

There is a thread where Micah says he believes that San Fran is not that much better then the Cowboys . . . And Many Fans said shut up you are delusional the whole team sucked

This prideful Lion will not accept the BS that is Dak just to placate the whims of an Old Fool still trying to prove he was right about 2016
No doubt about it, scoring points changes everything.

Right now the issue is will Jerry allow him to be benched . . . Can Jerry take the heat in the public's eye. Can His Ego allow for all the crap people will say and all the laughing directed at Him for the whole Dak Circus that He created

He would be the biggest Clown for having a 60 million a year QB on the Bench. Will his ego allow McCarthy to bench him
That has always been the biggest hurdle and will remain as long as Jerry still breathes.
IMHO the Jones have painted themselves so far into the corner with Dak at this point they will have to extend him in order to keep both MP and/or Lamb at this point.

The only thing making the playoffs will mean at this point is that we will end up with a late pick in the first round further prolonging the misery of actually addressing the elephant in the room.

Playoffs . . . playoffs . . you are talking about Playoffs

He has until the end of Philly Week to turn this tail spin around or the dream is over for him

You don't know the script yet? This team isn't dead. They'll do just enough to keep the dream alive. Dak will absolutely 1000% finish the season. I'd wager that all day.

This not necessarily true . . . If he remains the Starter He will lose Micah Ceedee and the whole team

Neither want to continue the Charade

Micah does not play . . . He is Vocal and devoted to winning at every competitive activity he participates in

He said changes needed to be made and I think it was n reference to Dak

As the starter? I will take whatever that bet is

When Dak starts losing the locker room, and that time is already upon us, the charade will be near its end.
I don't disagree whatsoever that key vocal members like MP and Lamb haven't been speaking out already, anyone else gets 86d.
Thats where the locker room begins to fold is when your team captains are being heard, they carry team respect.

You cant extend him in this scheme for sure, Im just not sure how they move this contract over the next year but after watching that crap show, I'm not sure im worried about losing any of the players we have..no one showed up including the coaches and thats awful.. that was bad at every level, other than the new kicker i really didnt see a must have player we have....

This team has very solid talent, deeper than most.
We have a major problem at the most important position on the team.
I have always found it amazing that some refer to him as a team leader...that is more laugh worthy than Dak smiles per INT stat.
Is there a stat for that?

Yea I hear ya but he is scheduled to count 59 million next season. If we cut him the cap hit is 61 million. In 2025 the cap hit if he's cut is 36 million. Those are devastating numbers no matter how it's sliced up. One thing is for sure, it would be a massive mistake to extend or restructure at this point, just do what needs to be done and let's move past it all.
They’re just going to have to get through these next two seasons with those figures, but for what you get out of him against good teams you simply can’t afford to have him being a $50+ mil cap hit.

Sure he is a problem but the other stars cant disappear in these game either...Purdy was throwing to WIDE and I mean WIDE open players all night while we struggled to get off the LOS.. All I'm saying is before I worried that eating Dak's contract could cause us to lose some of these other stars... I'm much less worried about losing them at this point because they seem to have some quiter in them through out.

Why is Purdy throwing to wide open players?
Could be that Purdy is purdy good QB that has the ability to beat defenses on a regular basis.
